According to ARY News, the anti-encroachment police in Karachi, Pakistan, have received a threat alert alerting them to the possibility of terrorist attacks during Muharamul Haram.
It has been claimed that the army and Rangers have deployed forces to 502 places in Punjab after they were classified as “sensitive areas.”
After the recent attacks, Tariq Islam, the Deputy Superintendent of Police in Karachi, issued directions for the officials and stated that the anti-encroachment police personnel have been advised not to go alone on official duty during Muharramul Haram.
The notice also included a warning that government employees in Karachi might be the target of attacks during Muharram. When coming home after work, the officials were instructed not to wear shoes or uniforms and to use police vans for official responsibilities.
The federal government gave its approval earlier on Monday for the military to be stationed all around the nation in order to maintain security throughout the month of Muharram.
