The president of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, cancelled his visit to Islamabad today due to severe weather.
Initially scheduled for Monday, the UAE president’s visit to Islamabad would last a full day.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and federal ministers were to welcome Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the Noor Khan air base.
Islamabad’s administration today proclaimed a national holiday in response of Al Nahyan’s visit. The government will implement stringent security measures on Monday.
The holiday was announced by Irfan Nawaz Memon, Deputy Commissioner in Islamabad.
