RAWALAPINDI The Corps Commanders of the Pakistani Army have stated their complete confidence in their nation’s strong nuclear command and control system, claiming Islamabad has taken all essential measures to support its nuclear atomic regime.
According to a statement released by the ISPR on Tuesday, this was the end of the 252nd Corps Commanders’ Conference, which was conducted at General Headquarters (GHQ) under the chairmanship of Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
The participants conducted a thorough assessment of the Army’s operational readiness as well as the current internal and foreign security environment.
The Army’s support for relief and rehabilitation activities in flood-affected areas and the post-flood situation, particularly in Sindh and Balochistan, was informed to the conference.
The COAS emphasised the Pakistan Army’s determination to protect the country against all threats while expressing satisfaction with the operational preparedness of the formations.
The forum expressed complete support for Pakistan’s strong nuclear command and control system and security measures pertaining to the nation’s strategic assets.
The forum was informed that Pakistan has taken all essential steps to tighten its nuclear security system in accordance with international best practises as a responsible nuclear weapon state.
