Talat Hussain passed away in Karachi on Sunday after a prolonged illness.
Hussain was receiving medical attention at a private hospital, according to Mohammad Ahmed Shah, President of the Arts Council of Pakistan. Shah continued by stating that he has over 40 years of experience working with Hussain. He said, “Hussain was not only an actor; he was a man from the literary world,” adding that the performer was at work on a book at the time. The well-known actor was born in 1940 and had one son and two daughters.
Hussain was awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Star of Excellence) in 2021 and the Pride of Performance Award by the Pakistani government in 1982. Hussain is well-known for having enjoyed a prosperous career that included multiple award wins in radio, television, and movies.
