The nation will observe the night of blessings on February 18 with the highest respect, according to Lahore (Saturday). Muslims observe it on the 27th night of Rajab (seventh month of Islamic Calendar). It is also known as Shab-e-Miraj-un-Nabi and Laylatul Meraj. Shab-e-Meraj is observed to commemorate the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) visit to the presence of Allah.
On this day, Muslims assemble, pray, read verses from the Quran, and make supplications. They observe a daylong fast from sunrise to dusk.
The Holy Prophet (PBUH) was given the honour of Meraj when Hazrat Jibrael (a.s) arrived to greet the final prophet and went to see the Almighty on the Buraq on 27 Rajab-ul-Murajab.
On his visit to the Aqsa Mosque, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) oversaw the prophets’ collective prayers.
