To dispel what she claims are untrue accusations about the Queen Consort’s image, royal historian Angela Levin has just published a biography of Queen Camilla. According to the biographer, Camilla was portrayed in a “awful light” in the Netflix series The Crown. Instead, the Queen Consort is a dedicated worker who quietly accomplishes behind-the-scenes tasks, according to Ms. Levin.
During an interview with Sky News Australia, Angela Levin outlined the motivation behind the biography of the Queen Consort.
I dislike The Crown on Netflix because they portrayed her in an awful light, and I despised what Harry was doing and saying about her, she claimed.
And all I wanted to do was put it on a plate and visit leaders of major charities, Ms. Levin said.
You would imagine that when royalty goes to cut a ribbon, they’ll greet everyone and then leave.
She is not at all like that. I was told the most amazing tale of her assistance. She works quite hard to change things.
Ms. Levin claimed that in order to illuminate the Queen Consort’s efforts to combat domestic abuse, she wanted to capture the character of the monarch.
She uttered: “And I wanted to remind those who are referring to her as a rottweiler and the wickedest lady on Earth that she wasn’t that way until she wed King Charles.
“She then made a sincere effort to assist in getting it. She came up with the concept of placing something with a name and phone number in pharmacies so that customers may call and ask for Sue or someone like.
“And they would be aware that you were struggling with your partner’s abuse or assault. “And positive things like that, you know. She doesn’t want to shout, “Look at me, I’m terrific,” though. She doesn’t particularly like being in the spotlight, but she puts in a lot of effort behind the scenes.”
