The Quetta Gladiators, led by captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, defeated the Babar Azam-led Peshawar Zalmi by three runs on Sunday in an exhibition game in Quetta.
In 20 overs, the Gladiators held Zalmi to 181-7 as it made an effort to score 185 runs.
Zalmi had 109 runs in 10 overs with just one wicket at the midway point, making it seem like they would win, but Quetta kept taking wickets at regular intervals towards the conclusion of the inning to impede their opponent’s progress.
Mohammad Haris, who played some incredible smashes as the opener, had the highest total with 53 runs in 35 balls.
