The interior minister, Sanaullah, stated that the PML-N is, was, and will continue to be obligated by the coalition parties’ decision to dissolve the assembly.
The decision will be made when we bring the subject up with the parties, according to the interior minister.
In response to the PML-loss N’s to the PTI in the July 17 by-elections for Punjab, Sanaullah stated that his party was “going forward by accepting the results.”
The candidates who were campaigning for these constituencies were not PML-N candidates, hence the 20 seats neither test nor assess the PML-support. The PML-N leader said that the PTI held all 20 seats, of which “we won five.”
Sanaullah referred to it as a “timely defeat” and stated that the party would speak with these candidates before the following election.
According to the interior minister, the party believes that Parvez Elahi, the speaker of the Punjab Assembly, should not be given the opportunity to become the chief minister so quickly.
