LAHORE: Pakistan’s participation in the FIH Nations Cup is on hold because the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has yet to allocate money for the international event.Despite requesting the PSB three times for funding, the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has received no answer, according to reliable sources.
The Pakistan team is scheduled to fly for South Africa on November 22 for the FIH Nations Cup, but it still lacks funds for tickets and lodging.
If the Pakistani squad does not participate in the event, the FIH may take serious measures against the PHF, as the latter has previously stated that they will compete. After winning a bronze medal in the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup 2022, PHF Secretary Haider Hussain emphasised the importance of Pakistan’s participation in the forthcoming FIH Nations Cup
