LIVE updates: PTI adjusts the schedule once more; the long march will now begin on Thursday
The PTI has revised its schedule and will now resume its long march on Thursday rather than Wednesday after a brief hiatus caused by party leader Imran Khan’s wounded in a last week’s assassination attempt.
Prior to the restart, the Islamabad Capital City Police has threatened legal action against unauthorised rallies in the federal capital, and the Supreme Court has directed the Punjab IG to file an assassination attempt against Khan FIR.
In a press conference with journalists in Lahore, PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the long march will now resume on Thursday.
This is the third time that the PTI has shifted the long march’s start date.
Imran Khan, the chairman of the PTI, postponed the party’s long march a few hours ago. Fawad Chaudhry, the party’s head, announced that the march will now resume on Wednesday rather than Tuesday.
Qureshi, however, said that the march will now take place on Thursday at 2:00 p.m.
