Instagram’s CEO, Adam Mosseri, said that while the platform will continue to offer images, it will gradually move toward supporting video content.
In response to criticism that Instagram was starting to resemble the well-known video-sharing app TikTok, celebrities Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian said, “Make Instagram, Instagram again.” Mosseri made this statement.
We will continue to support photographs, I want to be clear about that. It’s a piece of our heritage,” Mosseri stated in the Twitter video message.
We can observe this even if we do nothing. Mosseri emphasised in response to user inquiries that the “Full-Screen Feed” is a test for a limited portion of users and consists of both pictures and videos.
He did note that this feature is “not yet good,” though. If we’re going to ship it to the rest of the Instagram community, we have to take it somewhere constructive, the CEO concluded.
