LAHORE: In provincial government hospitals, there is still a dearth of medications and anaesthesia injections for hospital patients.
Patients and their loved ones at Lahore’s Mayo Hospital are beginning to purchase medications from the market because they have been days without them there.
According to sources at the Mayo and Jinnah hospital, surgeries and operations have slowed down due to a scarcity of anaesthesia injections.
But according to MS Dr. Khalid of General Hospital, his medical centre has loaned 300 doses of anaesthesia to Mayo and Jinnah hospitals.
The Mayo Hospital management claims that although no medications have yet been acquired, they will begin giving them to patients as soon as supplies become available.
