KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja ruled out any ambiguity about his future in office on Wednesday, blaming the media for speculating about his departure. “There is no ambiguity. You (journalists) are the ones who are causing this doubt. “I know the internal issues, and nothing will happen,” the PCB chairman said during a press conference at the National Stadium here. The former cricketer stated that while it was customary to change the board’s chairman when a new administration was formed, it was not a constitutional or legal obligation.”He was asked about his future by a journalist. “I know you people want me gone because it would give you headlines,” the PCB chairman remarked. In terms of his future when his stint as PCB chairman ends, the former batter stated that he may not be a commentator because he has “battled with practically everyone.”
Concerning batsman Shahzad, the PCB chairman stated that he should perform well and engage in self-reflection during his time off. “My message to Shahzad: Let the bat speak for itself.” “Shan Masood made a return by performing well,” the PCB chairman said in response to a question concerning Shahzad’s demand that a negative report about him be made public. Shahzad had demanded the PCB make a “bad report” on him public in a conversation with media workers the day before. “The report provided to the PCB by previous team management regarding me, based on which I was hurt by being kept away from the squad, should be made public.” In answer to the batsman, Ramiz stated that this was not the case.
