2nd August, 2022, is one of the most very important and recorded day in history of Pakistan ever since the country was born in 14th August, 1947 as Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) which took as long as 8 years to dig deep bygoing through all the documents, evidences, commentaries and statements issued from time to time, both from the government and opposition,in connection with the investigationsabout foreign funding,has ultimately announced its verdict saying in quite crystal clear terms without slightest shadow of doubts that Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) led by former Prime Minister Imran Khan Niazihas received huge funds from not only 34 different foreign nationals but also has received quite heavy amounts from as many as 351 foreign-based companies as well to run PTI affairs in my beloved Pakistan which as per ECP, is absolutely, categorically, emphatically and wholly illegal under all circumstances whatsoever and is not at all allowed and cannot be allowed either come what may.
It will be nothing but sheer waste of my time to pen and your time to read, if at all, I go into the details of the case as our press has already flashed the full decision hence I will touch some other points which are both directly and indirectly associated with Imran himself in an attempt to come out with a bright glazing clear picture without any ifs and buts so that even a brute commoner who had never been to any school can understand my view point without indulging into any complications and intricacies.
Money is money which is not only liked but needed as well by all without any exception whatsoever and I will very briefly touch just a few components of our society to corroborate my statement that none on the face of earth can deny it under all circumstances for the very cogent reason that the money is needed by the rich or poor, governor or governed, male or female, child or youth, old or senior citizen, educated or uneducated, single or married, employed or unemployed, white or black, tall or short, healthy or sick, to name just a few. Secondly, all love money and incidentally, more one gets, still the greedier he becomes to get more and more money which is endless in any case and the lust of money continues alike till the person breathes his last which is applicable to 99.9% simply because none wants to give it to others without any personal interest. The worst example is that of a Muslim who has enough sources and resources and is under divine obligation to pay just 2.5% Zakat as ordained by Allah but it is the lust and love of money that he prefers not to pay Zakat and instead annoy Allah. There are specialized tax consulting firms to advise their clients all the channelized and non-channelized ways and methods as to how to save tax money and greater majority of tax payers willingly pay the consultation fee to the tax consultant and save their money which otherwise had been paid by them to the tax authorities. Such blazing, glaring and glazing examples establish and prove that lust of money overpowers everything which is very much regretted but what to do otherwise.
Coming back to ECP and Imran, what really astonishes me more than surprises is that as per ECP, as many as 34 foreign nationals have donated hell of money to Imran Khan proves what, if not the love and respect he commands, needs an immediate answer and must not be ignored? Generally speaking, one or two or three or even one dozen foreigners could be so much overwhelmed with Imran personality that they simply could not resist giving money to him but in this very particular case 34 people have been mentioned to have donated money to Imran really proves beyond any question that Imran’s personality and outer exposure is so much alluring, attractive, captivating, charismatic, enchanting, entrancing, fascinating, hypnotic, magnetic and mesmerizing that despite the fact that each one of those 34 loved money but yet they themselves felt so much honored and pleased that they eventually were left with no option but to donate the money purely at their own sweet will and wish.
351 foreign-based companies have also given quite handsome money to Imran Khan is very much bitterly alleged by ECP in its verdict issued against Imran a couple of days before but it does give birth to the most burning question as to what motivated these companies to dole out so much huge money to none but Imran only? Just for academic discussion and not otherwise,it can be understood thata few companies were so much impressed with the name and fame what Imran has acquired globally that they just out of sheer love, affection, devotion and respect, purely at their own initiative gave so much money to him can very well be understood but in this particular case,there are not 50 or 100 or 200 or even 300 but actually 351 companies are believed to have quite voluntarily given millions which may have rung alarming bells in so many different quarters.
Internationally accepted, reckoned and professed principlewhich has been practiced since centuries is that the one whosoever gives money and on the other hand whosoever takes money are both individually, collectively and equally held accountable for the simple reason that neither the giver has any right to give money nor the receiver is entitled to receive money, unless and until there is a certified bondage between them, otherwise both the concerned parties are liable to investigation and or punishment as the case may be.
Now at this point of time, when there is lot of hue and cry about foreign funding against Imran Khan, I will dare to ask if PM MianShehbaz Sharif, Mian Nawaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari, Rana Sanaullah, FazalurRehman, Khawaja Asif, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Khawaja Rafiq, Syed Khursheed Shah, Ahsan Iqbal Chauhdri, to name just a few,who are shouting a lot about foreign funding have courage, if any, to reach 34 foreigners and 351 foreign-based companies to at least very politely, dare not raise their voice, ask them as to when, how and why did they pay so much enormous money to Imran Khan Niazi?
I very much doubt that even just one whosoever, forget about the whole lot, has enough audacity, backbone, boldness, grits, guts, heroism and mettleto reach these donors except just to show off their muscles to Pakistanis only which is much regretted in any case.
