Election date negotiations are underway, according to Pervaiz Elahi
Imran Khan, the former prime minister and leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), won’t speak with any committee of the government, according to Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi, who also noted that discussions on the election date are ongoing.
The Punjab Chief Minister said during an exclusive interview with hosts Ajmal Jami and Mujeebur Rahman Shamal on the Dunya News show “Nuqta Nazar” that politics has nothing to do with the heat or cold and that if the weather is hot, we will work to make it cooler.
He also thanked Imran Khan for appointing him as the province’s chief minister and placing his trust in him. He claimed that Nawaz Sharif began a fight with the then-army leader when he became Prime Minister with a two-thirds majority, and that no one else outside him knows Sharif. Elahi continued, “He [Nawaz Sharif] also had disputes with Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa, Perved Musharraf, and Ali Qulli.
Pervaiz Elahi continued by saying that Imran Khan’s main concern is the election date and that he wants it to be publicised. He added that the long march offered some hope, however the present government preferred to hold elections after their term was up.
When questioned why DG ISI needed a press conference since negotiations were ongoing, Pervaiz Elahi responded that he would not discuss it and that we hoped the discussions would result in a resolution. everyone, including Imran Khan, the PM, and PDM I request an extension for Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa, and the former stated that an extension for the Army Chief would be preferable.
Elahi declared that “Imran Khan is my leader and I will do whatever he would ask,” adding that the PTI chief will never stand by while these robbers steal.
