City of Gardens Lahore is the most polluted city in the world
Lahore, known as the “city of gardens,” has reportedly risen to the top spot on the list of most polluted cities as a result of heavy pollution and fog.
The environment of Lahore is significantly impacted by pollution and haze, which may be damaging to residents’ health. Masks should be worn by individuals to prevent smog and pollution, according to experts. The Meteorological Department states that there is no likelihood of rain in the foreseeable future.
The temperature in Lahore will drop to a minimum of 18 degrees and a maximum of 32 degrees due to the city’s dry and cold climate. According to data on the amount of pollution in different areas of Lahore, Shahdara had a 461 percent pollution rate, Defense had a 427 percent pollution rate, Main Boulevard had a 416 percent pollution rate, and Johortown had a 410 percent pollution rate.
The city experienced a chilling breeze, with a recorded temperature of 29 degrees Celsius. Director of the Regional Meteorological Center Ch Muhammad Aslam told The Nation that the month of November is predicted to see an increase in pollution intensity.
The burning of rice crop residue in India and Pakistan is the main cause of Pakistan’s rising pollution, which is escalating significantly. According to the Meteorological Department’s forecast, there is very little likelihood of rain in November, he said.
