Chris Rock, a comedian, will be the first performer to live broadcast on Netflix, according to the company’s announcement on Thursday (NFLX.O).
Starting with unscripted programmes and stand-up specials, Netflix expects to launch more livestreaming alternatives soon. The entertainment service’s debut release is a live performance by Rock.
Rock’s 2018 stand-up special “Chris Rock: Tamborine” was his first Netflix stand-up special. The “Netflix Is a Joke” comedy festival saw the Emmy Award-winning comedian and Dave Chappelle perform in the early 2022.
