For the first time after her passing in 2018, Boney Kapoor responded to claims that his wife Sri Devi had been murdered.
In an interview with The New Indian, the bigwig from Bollywood said that Sri Devi’s death “wasn’t natural but accidental.” Boney claimed that he underwent a variety of examinations before receiving “a clean chit” from Dubai police.

“The officers said we had to go through this because there was a lot of pressure from the Indian media,” the Mom producer claimed, adding that the authorities quickly realized there was “no foul play.”
“I went through all those things,” Boney claimed, adding that he even took lie detector tests. Naturally, the study therefore concluded that the drowning fatality was an accident.
He claimed that Sri Devi’s stringent diets caused her health to start to deteriorate because “she often used to starve; she wanted to look good.”
The English Vinglish performer was persuaded by the widower to start taking care of her health, but he said she didn’t take his advice seriously.
After attending a family wedding in 2018, Sridevi drowned in a bathtub in a hotel in Dubai. Jahnvi and Khushi Kapoor were two of her daughters with Boney.
