President Joe Biden went all out on Sunday to mobilise US voters in support of democracy in an effort to fend off a Republican “red wave” in this week’s midterm elections that might help Donald Trump return to the White House.
With two days until Tuesday’s election, the 79-year-old told a rally in upstate New York, traditionally Democratic territory, “If you all come up and vote, democracy sustained, not a joke.”
