KARACHI: The arrest order for Pakistani actor Sumbul Iqbal was issued by the Judicial Magistrate of Northern Karachi on Wednesday.
The magistrate issued the Rs 10,000 warrant on the grounds that she had filed a complaint in 2020 but had not provided any supporting documentation or witnesses. They were mandated by the court to detain her and bring her into court on February 15.
According to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Ms. Iqbal complained about Nadeem Kiani, and as a result, a Pakistan Electronic Crime Act case was brought against him (PECA).
The defence attorney for the accused claimed that even though Nadeem Kiani was free on bond, Sumbul Iqbal had brought the case against him and others.
