In the midst of divorce rumours, Sania Mirza kisses Shoaib Malik on the cheek.

In Karachi. After reports of their probable divorce surfaced, Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza and her Pakistani cricketer husband Shoaib Malik made headlines.

Sania attracted attention as well after posting images of herself alone on her personal Instagram, as she likes to keep her followers guessing by remaining silent about the rumours.

Rumor has it that Pakistani actor Imran Abbas will appear on the upcoming “Mirza Malik Show,” which will be hosted by the Pakistani-Indian power couple.

The two can be seen standing shoulder to shoulder in one of the images, which further puzzled social media users over the recent rumours.

Sania had earlier cut her out of photos taken during the making of the upcoming reality show. The introduction of the reality programme also bewildered the viewers. Even some people referred to divorce rumours as a “publicity stunt.”

According to a number of media outlets, including Gulf News, the couple has split up and is co-parenting their child. However, once Sania began uploading solo photos, Indian media sites covered the story from several perspectives.

Sania celebrated her 36th birthday, and Shoaib sent her birthday wishes, but she didn’t respond. When asked about his marriage, Malik also made an effort to clarify things. The seasoned cricketer advised the interviewer quickly to disregard the rumours but refrained from providing further specifics.

After 12 years of marriage, Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik are parents to the adorable kid Izhaan. Fans are waiting for Shoaib and Sania to clarify the divorce rumours while there has been conjecture about them.

Bhediya Box Office Estimate Day 1 Varun Dhawan Kriti Sanon film collects Rs. 6.50 crores 354x199 2

The box office for Bhediya is doing well on Day 2. It stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon.

It was a successful Saturday for the movie business as both nominated movies ended up drawing audiences. It’s exciting to see Bhediya gaining up speed and joining the party even if Drishyam 2 is doing fairly well and growth over the second weekend seemed inevitable.

bhediya

The box office for Bhediya is doing well on Day 2. It stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon.

Stree and Roohi are part of the same universe as the Dinesh Vijan production, therefore Bhediya’s success was necessary to solidify that connection. No effort was wasted in making Bhediya a huge deal, and this is one of Maddock Films’ most extravagantly staged productions, so it makes sense.

Since the film is now scoring in the double digits, it was necessary for box office receipts to match that as well, and happily that has started happening now. The Varun Dhawan-starring film has a total of 17.05 crores after adding 9.57 crores.

However, Drishyam 2 is doing really well, as seen by its 14.05 crore rupee Saturday receipts. Although a double digit score for the Abhishek Pathak-directed suspense drama was always likely, a fantastic hold on Friday had suggested that Saturday would go far beyond simply the Rs. 10 crores threshold.

This also occurred, and given that this one has greatly piqued the interest of family audiences, there will likely be an increase in attendance today. As a result, Sunday will likely be extremely successful. The movie has earned Rs. 126.58 crores so far.

Costa Rica is still operational. following Japan’s late victory at the World Cup

Luis Fernando Suarez, the captain of Costa Rica, claimed that his team was “still very much alive” at the World Cup following a 1-0 victory over Japan on Sunday that completely opened up Group E and provided Germany with a possible lifeline.

With a victory, Japan, who stunned four-time winners Germany 2-1 in their tournament opener in Qatar, would have advanced significantly closer to the round of 16.

Instead, they struggled in the first half against a Costa Rican team that had been destroyed 7-0 by Spain. Defender Keysher Fuller then scored on a counterattack in the 81st minute.

Costa Rica is still operational. following Japan’s late victory at the World Cup

Costa Rica now has three points, tied with Japan and the tournament’s leading team, Spain, after their first shot on goal. Spain will take on Germany later on Sunday in what is regarded as the tournament’s toughest group.

“Today, these players displayed incredible skill. I won’t discuss methods or strategies. According to Suarez, whose team plays Germany on Thursday, “I need to value and appreciate what they did to obtain this win today.

“Today, we are still very much alive, even though we weren’t dead yesterday. As long as no one forgets about us, we can still dream. We are all in this together, despite what many imagined.

In order to utilise every member of his 26-man roster, coach Hajime Moriyasu made five changes to the Japan lineup that upset Germany.

At Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, where it was 32 degrees Celsius (90 degrees Fahrenheit), Japan launched an immediate offensive and won a corner within 30 seconds.

Gerson Torres and 34-year-old centre Kendall Waston replaced the four players from the 2014 World Cup quarterfinals in Suarez’s aged starting lineup for the team thrashed by Spain.

However, Japan’s early promise faded in the heat of Doha, and Joel Campbell of Costa Rica took the game’s first chance at goal 10 minutes before halftime, a meek attempt that flew high and wide.

“Los Ticos” enjoyed greater possession of the ball as the first half came to a conclusion, but neither team managed to get off a shot on goal.

Takuma Asano, a striker who plays in the Bundesliga and scored the game-winning goal against the Germans, was one of two substitutions that Moriyasu made at the break after having had enough.

Soon after the restart, the Blue Samurai improved their cutting edge, and midfielder Hidemasa Morita forced the first legitimate save of the game.

As the game entered its last ten minutes in front of 41,000 spectators, it was all Japan.

Nine minutes before the end of regulation, Costa Rica snatched the game after doing nothing offensively for the whole of the contest. Fuller’s shot took a deflection and looped in.

Japan’s chances of making it to the knockout phase are still good, according to Moriyasu, whose team faces Spain in a difficult final group match.

“Spain will be challenging, but we have a decent chance of winning. We’ll be well-prepared and confident going into the game,” he remarked.

In addition to denying that his team was worn out from fighting Germany, Moriyasu justified the numerous lineup changes he made.

“Costa Rica didn’t do fantastic in the first half, both of us had trouble controlling the game,” he remarked.

It was a challenging game, and perhaps both teams lacked some quality in the opening period.

Imran Khan using Punjab and KP for political ends: Bilawal

Imran Khan’s public meeting in Rawalpindi, said to Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, was an anticlimactic face-saving flop show.

He claimed in a tweet that Imran Khan’s announcement that the party will leave all assemblies was a resignation play motivated by frustration.

According to him, PTI failed to undermine the nominations of new chiefs and was unable to mobilise crowds for the revolution.

How long will Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continue to be treated as political pawns? asked the foreign minister.

Elections will be held ‘on time’ after August 2023: PM Shehbaz

Premier asserts that his administration was formed by constitutional means and has the mandate of the people.

Shehbaz Sharif
Shehbaz Sharif

ISTANBUL: According to statements made by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the subsequent general elections in the nation “shall be conducted on schedule,” which is sometime after August 2023.

“Let me be very clear: the next elections will be conducted on schedule,” Prime Minister Shehbaz said in an interview with Anadolu Agency.

He was replying to queries about his predecessor and the call for early elections by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.

“This administration was formed via a constitutional process and has the support of the Pakistani people,” he continued.

“The present National Assembly will conclude its term in August 2023, after which an interim administration will be formed and elections will be held,” the prime minister added.

The current coalition administration has “Except for the PTI, it represents all political parties in the nation and is occupied with matters of considerable significance.”

Notably, Imran, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), said on Saturday that his party has chosen to resign from all provincial legislatures, a move regarded as a further attempt to press the government for early elections in the nation.

Combination of initiatives to combat the economic slump

PM Shehbaz, who was elected prime minister in April after his predecessor Imran Khan lost a vote of confidence, said that Pakistan’s economy was “on the edge of financial collapse” and “facing many global and local issues” when he took office.

“The previous administration’s economic policies were not growth-friendly and caused the economy to face several obstacles.

“Pakistan’s economy faced excessive monetary tightening, supply-side shocks, lingering pandemic impacts, declining investor confidence, rising inflation, and the consequences of the Russia-Ukraine crisis,” he said.

Shehbaz, however, said that his government has taken a “combination of strategies to combat the economic crisis by recognising that we have a very little time to pull back from the brink of bankruptcy and financial collapse.”

“Undoubtedly, some of our policy alternatives, such as the elimination of untargeted subsidies, had increased the economy’s short-term costs. However, the majority of our programmes are more likely to provide long-term advantages “he remarked.

“This included policy decisions and political will. We took the risk of reversing the untargeted subsidies despite the fact that such a difficult choice demands a great deal of political capital.

The prime minister said, “We are also conscious that our present course of action is harming the most disadvantaged and marginalised members of society, but we are taking care of them by announcing targeted subsidies and other relief measures.”

Premier said that the revitalization of the IMF programme and “strong engagement with bilateral and multilateral partners” has relieved pressure.

PM Shehbaz1666617175 0

His administration made steps to minimise the import bill, current account imbalance, and pressure on the Pakistani rupee in order to address the economy.

During the first four months of the fiscal year 2023, the “constant drop in imports” helped reduce the current account deficit, he said.

However, Prime Minister Shehbaz said that the catastrophic floods that struck Pakistan earlier this year “caused a significant lot of hardship.”

Pakistan-Turkiye connections

Facing mutual difficulties and new dangers, Islamabad and Ankara should collaborate via joint research and resource pooling, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Shehbaz told Anadolu Agency in an exclusive interview, “We think that Pakistan and Turkey should collaborate and strengthen their connection via collective research, joint development, and resource sharing.”

Sharif described bilateral relations with Turkey as exceptional, stating, “These historic ties are strongly rooted in shared religious, cultural, and linguistic ties and transcend political changes on both sides.”

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the beginning of diplomatic ties between the two nations.

Friday marked the beginning of a two-day official visit to Turkey at the request of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

“Whether it’s Jammu and Kashmir or Northern Cyprus, Pakistan and Turkey support each other on all matters of vital national interests. I would want to use this opportunity to thank Turkey, and its leadership in particular, for its principled support towards the Jammu and Kashmir problem “he remarked.

He said that the two countries have similar perspectives on regional and international problems and collaborate closely in bilateral, regional, and multilateral forums.

“Faced with mutual difficulties and new and emerging dangers, Pakistan and Turkey have expanded their collaboration across several domains, especially in the defence sector,” he added, praising the Turkish defence industry.

“Pakistan is Türkiye’s largest defence customer,” the Turkish prime minister emphasised, adding that their collaboration on the construction of the MILGEM-class warships not only has “unique value” for the Pakistani Navy’s capability enhancements, but also “stands out as a defining moment to further cement the bonds of friendship between our two nations and our two navies.”

The foundation of interstate relations should be mutual respect.

Pakistan’s “longstanding and broad-based relationship” with the United States, according to the prime minister, is “dedicated to deepening and expanding.”

“In recent months, interactions between the two nations have been highly fruitful and significant. Our exchanges on several levels have escalated, resulting in a deepening friendship “In answer to inquiries from Anadolu Agency, he said.

Recalling a recent meeting with Vice President Joe Biden in New York, the prime minister said that there had been “a number of high-level visits, including congressional delegations and administration officials”

“These meetings have achieved great outcomes and strengthened our connections,” he added, complimenting Washington for its $97 million donation to flood victims in Pakistan.

Moreover, Pakistan is engaging closely with the United States “to foster peace and stability in Afghanistan” and is following a foreign policy of “friendship and goodwill toward all nations,” he added.

“Pakistan has maintained historically positive ties with the United States and China. Pakistan historically served as a conduit for establishing ties between the United States and the People’s Republic of China “He observed.

“While the Pakistan-China relationship is unique, Pakistan and the United States have maintained a long-standing, broad-based bilateral partnership that encompasses all topics of mutual concern.

“We think that constructive interaction with all nations may improve regional peace and security, as well as economic growth and connectivity. We anticipate continuing to work with the international community to promote peace and stability in the area and beyond “Premier said.

The prime minister said that Pakistan “strongly believes that interstate relations should be based on mutual respect and peaceful settlement of conflicts by maintaining the ideals of the United Nations Charter and international law.”

China’mindful’ of regional complexities and hazards

Regarding ties with China, Prime Minister Shehbaz said that his recent talks with the Chinese leadership “infused fresh vigour into our collaborative efforts to achieve timely development and implementation of significant projects.”

“Important agreements were established on the advancement of key projects like as the Main Line I and Karachi Circular Railway (ML-I/KCR) projects, as well as the implementation of the Framework Agreement on Industrial Cooperation as soon as possible.

“We also agreed to increase cooperation in green energy, research and technology, and agriculture, all of which are critical building blocks for the CPEC’s (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) high-quality growth,” he added.

The prime minister emphasised that Pakistan has always “given top importance to the security and safety of our overseas development partners.”

“The maintenance of a safe and secure environment, which is crucial for investment and socioeconomic growth, has been bolstered.

“Both Pakistan and China are cognizant of the region’s complexity and the threats it entails. We will continue to maintain heightened vigilance and guarantee that the malicious schemes of our adversaries fail “Sharif stated.

India and Kashmir

On whether restarting regular relations between Islamabad and New Delhi is contingent on settling the Kashmir conflict, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan’s foreign policy is “one of friendship and goodwill towards everybody.”

“We want good ties with all of our neighbours, including India,” the prime minister said.

For “full normalisation” of relations, including the resumption of economic ties, India must “reverse its acts” of August 5, 2019, when New Delhi abolished the minimal autonomy of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

In addition, he demanded that India cease its “state terrorism” in IIOJK and refrain from seeking “demographic changes in occupied territory to sustain its unlawful occupation.”

Shehbaz said, in reference to his inauguration speech as prime minister, that he “We reaffirmed our intention to preserve “excellent relations” with India.

“However, we are certain that a lasting peace cannot be established without an equitable settlement of the Jammu and Kashmir problem in conformity with the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and the desires of the Kashmiri people.”

The Prime Minister noted that the “illegal and unilateral measures” on 5 August 2019 and following activities in IIOJK “further deteriorated the atmosphere.”

Family sources say Lt. Gen. Faiz Hameed has made the decision to retire early

A family source confirmed that Gen. Saab had made the decision to retire early.

Lt Gen Faiz was one of the six most senior generals who were given consideration for the positions of chief of army staff and chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC).

General Asim Munir was named army chief by the government, who also named General Sahir Shamshad as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Lt Gen Faiz has been in the news frequently for a number of years.

He first gained notoriety while serving as the DG-C of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), which is responsible for counterintelligence. In November 2017, the government and Tehreek-e-Labaik (TLP) signed an agreement that included his name to put an end to the 21-day sit-in at Faizabad.

He later received a promotion to Lieutenant General and then went back to running the ISI as its director. He had been charged by the PML-N with trying to persuade the courts to convict its leaders.

When then-premier Imran Khan wanted to keep him on as DG ISI but Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa had other ideas, he was at the centre of yet another controversy.

Gen. Faiz is regarded as a brilliant officer by those who have worked and interacted with him.

The Chief of General Staff, Lt Gen Azhar Abbas, has already made the decision to retire. Gens. Azhar and Faiz were scheduled to retire in April of the following year.

According to certain sources, another general might leave the army sooner rather than later. This implies that the new army chief will assemble his own group from the outset.

He would have the opportunity to name his personnel to the critical positions of Chief of General Staff and Rawalpindi Corps.

Generals who weren’t replaced by others rarely choose to retire earlier than expected.

Wasim Akram describes how Imran Khan abandoned him on a remote island.

Wasim Akram, a former pacer for Pakistan, remembered amusing anecdotes about his good times with PTI Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan in an interview that is currently doing the rounds on the internet.

The sultan of swing recalled one such incident from the beginning of his career and stated that while Khan was a rigorous captain, he was also incredibly funny.

Akram stated that the pacer once accepted Khan’s invitation to accompany him to a nightclub. Akram claimed that Khan had never consumed alcohol before arriving at the club and had instead purchased a pint of milk.

The quick bowler was astonished to see his then-captain shaking hands with women, though. When only girls lined up to shake Imran’s hand, Akram said, “I just said that’s awesome.”

Another time, Akram claimed that Khan left him on a US island where the two had travelled to visit the PTI chief’s acquaintance.

“He drove us to the airport with one of his female pals; she had a private aircraft. So, after a 45-minute flight into a remote island, we boarded a private plane. They entered the house to talk. Okay, what should we do next, I said? We are on an island in the middle of South America, so we can’t even return to the hotel “Akram described the incident.

Throughout their careers, Akram and Khan have both played together. The 1992 World Cup-winning team included Akram, and the previous premier served as its captain.

On December 1st, Google Play Store services will cease in Pakistan.

Since the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has banned the direct carrier billing (DCB) method, Pakistani consumers won’t be able to use Google Play Store services as of December 1.

december

On December 1st, Google Play Store services will cease in Pakistan.

The payment of $34 billion to international service providers has been suspended as a result of the central bank’s decision to block DCB.

Customers will be required to use their bank cards to make payments in order to download Google and other foreign apps because the Google Play Stores are not available.

Additionally, because there aren’t enough credit card options, many mobile users won’t be able to download programmes from the Google Play Store.

While this was going on, the SBP was approached by the Telecom Ministry, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), and cellular service providers, pleading with it to reverse course since it would be problematic for subscribers.

They said that the ruling would have an effect on the biggest names in technology, such as Google, Amazon, and Meta, forcing them to stop offering their services in Pakistan.

Social media users in Pakistan have expressed concern over the SBP decision and asked the agency to reevaluate the action that sparked a meme frenzy on Twitter.

In two school shootings in Brazil, many people were slain.

On Friday, a 16-year-old gunman wearing Nazi emblems opened fire on two schools in southeast Brazil, killing at least three people, among them an adolescent girl, and injuring 11 others, according to officials.

Authorities in the Espirito Santo state city of Aracruz reported that the shooter opened fire on a group of instructors at his previous school, killing two and injuring nine others.

Brazil

In two school shootings in Brazil, many people were slain.

He afterwards left that public primary and secondary school and entered a neighbouring private school, where he allegedly killed a teenage girl and injured two other individuals.

According to Governor Renato Casagrande, who also proclaimed three days of mourning in the state, authorities have captured the shooter.

“He was a 16-year-old minor and a student at (the first) school up to June. After that, his family changed his school. According to information we have, he was receiving psychiatric care “A news conference heard from Casagrande. He claimed that some of the survivors’ wounds still posed a threat to their lives. He stated, “We are rooting and praying for them to recover.

The gunman was captured on security camera footage racing inside the school while armed and wearing military-style camouflage, according to Brazilian media reports. The personnel fled in horror as he ran through the hallways and started firing bullets.

He had a swastika on his fatigues, according to investigators, and they were checking into whether he had ties to any extremist groups.

The shooter, a police officer’s son, was alleged to have used two handguns in the attack, both of which were registered to his father — one was a service firearm and the other was a privately registered weapon.

The teenager broke inside the school through a locked door and avoided the security guard, according to Casagrande, who claimed that the boy looked to have carefully planned the attack.

The governor claimed that he then went into the teachers’ lounge, which was the first room he reached, and started shooting.

“He intended to shoot people. He started shooting at the first individuals he came across, “said he.

According to Joao Francisco Filho, commissioner of the civil police, the suspect appeared to have been planning the attack for “two years” and did not appear to have a “clear target.”

An AFP photographer stated that outside the school, which was sealed off with crime scene tape, investigators could be seen carrying victims’ remains in coffins and loading them onto police vans. In the city, there are about 100,000 people living.

The PTI has planned a long march into the capital demanding early elections, and the interior minister has already conducted a special meeting in preparation.

A constitutional obligation to prevent a political party from unlawfully entering the federal capital territory was emphasized by the minister.

According to what he had said before, “Chief secretaries should guarantee that no government employee becomes part of any effort or plot to destroy the federation.”

While addressing to media, the minister gave advice to PTI head Imran Khan to postpone the march and added that “all the intelligence agencies have raised a red alert for the long march in the capital.”

As he spoke directly to Imran, he emphasized the fact that “your own life is also in jeopardy,” alluding to the possibility of an assault by outlawed terrorist groups.

In further explanation of his previous remarks, the minister said, “All Al Qaeda has to do is locate an operative who would be ready to carry out an assault.” Do you believe that would be something that would be difficult for them to accomplish?”

“There are individuals who are interested in producing disorder and instigating conflict,” he continued. “There are others who are interested in provoking violence.” “They want us to start fighting amongst ourselves and to murder each other,” you said. When a politician has himself identified competitors in an FIR regarding his murder in his own lifetime, is it not the ideal chance for such forces, so that the guilt would immediately be moved to them?

Because of the high threat level, Sanaullah gave the assurance at the conference that he had given instructions to the police and other law enforcement agencies to ensure that there was stringent security at all of the access and exit points of the rally location.

“I have had in-depth conversations with the Punjab chief secretary and inspector general (IG) to guarantee that all four sides of the stage are secure and that every guest must undergo a body check before entering the venue.

“The platform should be maintained bulletproof at all costs,” he stated, while also adding that access to the stage should be limited since “if 200 people are standing on it, then who knows who did what?”

The minister also said that he had discussed a letter with the PTI’s secretary general, Asad Umar. He went on to say that the PTI was more than welcome to “sit with the agency representatives and see for themselves” in the event that the party wants to confirm the charges.

General Asim Munir: Pakistani government officially notifies General Asim Munir as the new army chief

ISLAMABAD: According to notifications released on Friday morning, the federal government has selected General Sahir Shamshad Mirza to serve as the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff committee (CJCSC), while General Asim Munir will take over as the next chief of army staff.

Pakistan’s government announces General Asim Munir as the new army chief.

General Asim Muneer

President Arif Alvi approved the brief to nominate both of the top military leaders on Thursday evening. This ended a long period of uncertainty about important military appointments.

As a direct consequence of this development, the notifications issued by the Ministry of Defense state that the current CJCSC General Nadeem Raza would hang up his boots on November 27 and that the COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa will retire on November 29.

“In exercise of powers conferred by Article 243(4)(b) of the Constitution read with Section 8A of Pakistan Army Act 1952, the president, on the advice of the prime minister, is pleased to approve the promotion of PA-25031 Lieutenant General Syed Asim Munir to the rank of General with immediate effect and his appointment as Chief of the Army Staff for a period of three years with effect from November 29, 2022,” a notification stated.

The president of Pakistan is pleased to approve the promotion of
After their nominations to high-ranking roles, both of the senior military officers met with Prime Minister Shehbaz and President Alvi. The officials from the government expressed their best wishes for them as they took on their new roles.
The lack of assurance

Even though the president gave his approval of the appointment summary last evening, there was still some ambiguity over the situation since the vice president did not sign the document immediately after the president submitted it to him.

In the same time as the prime minister was sending the summary to the president, he departed Islamabad for Lahore to meet with PTI Chairman Imran Khan at Zaman Park to discuss the issue.

In an interview that took place on Wednesday night, Khan had said that he and President Alvi will play “legally and constitutionally” on the topic. As a result, everyone’s attention was focused on the meeting.

638027968b806

The president eventually departed for Islamabad after the lengthy conversation, and PTI Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry announced that the President’s House will publish a statement on his meeting with the PTI head. This remark, together with the previous one, gave birth to rumors and suspicions.

Despite this, the president gave the summary his stamp of approval by the evening without any additional complications, and he also met with both of the military leaders later in the day.

Gen Asim Munir – a short profile
After graduating from the Mangala Officers Training School, General Asim Munir became a commissioned officer in the Frontier Force Regiment of the Pakistan Army. He had previously served in the Pakistan Army.

After serving as the brigade commander of the Northern Areas Force, he was promoted to the position of director-general of the Military Intelligence at the beginning of 2017. In 2018, he was given the position as director-general of the Inter-Services Intelligence organisation (ISI).

6380279670aad

After this, he was given the position of Corps Commander in Gujranwala for a period of two years. At the moment, he is working his way up the ranks to become the Quarter Master at the General Headquarters (GHQ).

He will make history as the first army commander to have led both the Military Intelligence and the ISI. In addition to this, General Munir will be the very first army chief to be presented with the Sword of Honor.

A succinct introduction to General Sahir Shamshad Mirza
The current Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Raheel Sharif, appointed Gen. Sahir Shamshad Mirza, a native of the Sindh Regiment, to serve as the director-general of military operations.

Gen. Mirza was also a member of the coordination committee that monitored the discussions with Afghanistan and directed the operations against militants in North Waziristan.

In addition to that, he was a participant in the Gilgit-Baltistan Reforms Committee. Mirza was promoted to the rank of general and then given the position of Chief of the General Staff. At the moment, he is acting in the capacity of Corps Commander in Rawalpindi.

A multitude of hypotheses
Since the tabling of the motion of no confidence in Khan in April, the issue of the appointment of the army chief has become increasingly contentious. This is because the matter of the appointment is crucial in the current political scenario, in which Khan is attempting to return to power in opposition to the ruling coalition.

On August 19, 2019, the then-prime minister Khan granted the outgoing COAS Bajwa a three-year extension in service, allowing him to remain in his position beyond the date that was originally scheduled for his retirement on November 29, 2019.

A lot of people have been wondering whether or not General Bajwa would try to get another extension on his contract. On the other hand, the COAS said a few months ago that he is seriously considering retiring this year.

This was also verified by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) at least a number of times, while General Bajwa made it very apparent on two different occasions that he did not want to remain in his current position as commander of the military installation.

The general kicked off his goodbye tour on November 1 by paying a visit to the Army Air Defense Command. The next day, he went to the Armed Forces Strategic Forces Command, which was the next stop on his tour. Currently, the general is in the midst of his farewell tour.

Positive figures on the current account contribute to the market’s rise.

Investors seemed to be pleased with the reduction of the current account (CA) deficit in a deal that was closely guarded, which led to an increase in stock prices on Tuesday, traders said, despite the fact that political instability continues to be a reason for worry.

current account contribute to the market's rise

In a post-market statement, Darson Research said that the country’s current account deficit dropped significantly by 47% over the first four months of this fiscal year, which contributed to the local equities market finishing on a positive note (FY23).

After reaching an intraday high of 315.26 points at 43,076.45 points, the benchmark KSE-100 Index on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) finished the day with a gain of 167.43 points to close at 42,928.62 points.

According to what the brokerage firm had to say about the matter, “this alone was the key driver for the buoyancy of the market.”

The current account deficit for Pakistan ballooned to $567 million in October 2022, up $204 million or 56% from September’s figure of $363 million, month-on-month. However, the deficit narrowed by 68% year-on-year (YoY), thanks to the central bank-led curbs that have successfully put a brake on imports.

According to information that was made public by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Monday, the current account deficit decreased by 47% year-on-year to $2.821 billion during the first four months of this fiscal year (4MFY23), as compared to $5.305 billion during the same period of the previous fiscal year.

The decrease in the current account monthly deficit was ascribed by analysts to a fall in workers’ remittances by 9% month-on-month ($221 million), which brought the total to $2.216 million.

According to Topline Research, the global benchmark indices provider, MSCI, added four firms to its Frontier Market FM100 Index during its most recent semi-annual review (Pakistan Oil Fields, TRG Pakistan, System Limited, and Lucky Cement).

MIS CA00

According to the statement made by the brokerage, “this news contributed to the purchasing momentum which kept blue chip stocks in the forefront throughout the day.”

The index received a boost throughout the day from the favorable performance of companies in the technology, fertilizer, and auto sectors. As a direct consequence of this, System Limited, Engro Corporation, Indus Motor, Pak Elektron Ltd., and Dawood Hercules Corporation Limited contributed 152 more points to the index.

On the other hand, TRG Pakistan, Pakistan Petroleum Limited, and Oil, and Gas Development Company all participated in profit-taking, which resulted in a loss of 30 points for the group as a whole.

Today, there were over 194 million shares exchanged, which resulted in a total trading value of approximately Rs 6.8 billion. With a total volume of 18.5 million shares traded, WorldCall Telecom Limited topped the leaderboard of volume leaders.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi calls the delay in transmitting the report of the nomination of the army commander a “violation of the constitution.”

PML-N senior leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi warned on Tuesday that reluctance in sending a much-anticipated summary for the coveted post constitutes a “violation of the constitution,” expressing his concerns over the delay in appointing the new army chief. Abbasi made his comments in response to the delay in appointing the new army chief.

Abbasi made his comments in response to the delay in appointing the new army chief.

In an interview with a private television station, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the person who had previously held the position of prime minister urged the relevant authorities to deliver the summary as soon as possible so that the prime minister could make a decision about it as quickly as possible.

“Pakistan as a whole is waiting to hear who will take over as the next army commander,” Abbasi said.

According to Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, it would be inappropriate if the name of an incompetent person were to be included in the summary of the candidates for army commander, and he added that the situation may be contested in court if such a thing were to occur.

It is important to note that the first step in the official procedure for choosing a new army commander is for the General Headquarters to forward a list of the highest-ranking generals to the Prime Minister via the Defense Ministry. This is the first step in the formal process.

On Monday, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif gave his assurance that the much-anticipated selection of the new army commander would be completed within the next 48 hours.

Khawaja Asif, speaking to Geo News, stated that the defense ministry will receive a list of the senior officers from the GHQ by tomorrow and that the ministry is likely to move a summary in this regard to the prime minister within the next 24 hours. Khawaja Asif was referring to the fact that the GHQ will send the list to the defense ministry.

According to statements made by Khawaja Asif, the General Headquarters have the only authority to propose candidates for the position of army commander (GHQ).

In response to the rumors, the minister said that there is no conflict between the civilian population and the military over the issue. He went on to say that Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has respect for Nawaz Sharif.

When the minister was asked a question on the relationship between Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Imran Khan, he responded by saying, “It is outside of my authority.” It is imperative that Imran Khan and General Qamar Javed Bajwa be aware of the situation.

In Paris, the private schedule for BTS V was made available for purchase, while the Army has issued a rebuke to HYBE.

A member of staff from V’s management company approached a member of the media organization known as KPop in Paris and asked if they would be interested in purchasing information about V’s personal schedule.

Paris: private schedule of BTS V was put up for sale

Kim Taehyung, better known by his stage as V, a member of BTS, has returned to Korea after spending the previous four days in Paris.

It is really unsettling that the information that has gone public claims that the individuals working with V are the ones putting him in danger.

Fans have the misconception that the band’s record label and parent companies, Big Hit Music and HYBE, are the ones responsible for the members’ well-being and protection.

ARMYs began criticizing HYBE shortly after these allegations began making waves in the media because they believed that V’s safety may have been jeopardized if the material had fallen into the wrong hands and been shared inappropriately.

Concerns were also voiced by some individuals regarding the possibility that the incident had occurred in the past but that employees were only made aware of it now.

Saudi Arabia’s 2-1 victory against Lionel Messi and Argentina is the first significant shock of the FIFA World Cup 2022.

On Tuesday, unheralded Saudi Arabia pulled off one of the greatest upsets in the annals of World Cup history by defeating Lionel Messi and Argentina by a score of 2-1. The victory was accomplished by a sensational comeback in the second half.

Saudi Arabia's 2-1 victory against Lionel Messi and Argentina is the first significant shock of the FIFA World Cup 2022.

Messi, at 35 years old, scored a penalty in the tenth minute of a dominant first-half performance in which he and Lautaro Martinez both had three goals disallowed for offside. This was Messi’s sixth and last attempt to win the one major prize that had eluded him throughout his career.

But Saudi Arabia, the side with the second-lowest ranking in the competition behind Ghana, decided to throw caution to the wind at the beginning of the second half and charged at Argentina’s defense in front of a passionate crowd of 88,012 people.

Saleh Al-Shehri scored with a low drive in the 48th minute, and Salem Al-Dawsari scored with a scorching blast from the outside of the penalty area in the 53rd minute, leaving Argentina and Lionel Messi looking completely stunned in the first game of Group C.

After then, Argentina enjoyed a lot of control of the ball, but they were unable to break through Saudi Arabia’s defense. Saudi Arabia was playing in their sixth World Cup, although they had never won their tournament’s opening game before.

The entire game was played in an extraordinary atmosphere at the Lusail Stadium, with Argentina’s traditionally massive and rowdy following being matched by the thousands of Saudis who had crossed the border to cheer on their team. Good relations with India are possible, but they won’t happen as long as BJP is in charge, says Imran Khan.

Imran Khan, who served as prime minister before stepping down, has advocated for improved relations between Pakistan and India. However, he has made it abundantly apparent that such an improvement is not conceivable so long as the nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is in control in India.

India and Pakistan can have good relations says Imran khan

The chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) shed light on the economic gains that may be gained if Pakistan and India develop commerce with each other in an interview that was conducted on Monday with the British daily The Telegraph.

“The advantages would be huge,” he added, but then he argued that the primary obstacle was New Delhi’s attitude toward Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

“I believe it is conceivable, but the BJP administration is so inflexible, and they take a nationalistic stand on subjects.

“It is disheartening because there is no prospect (for a settlement) as long as they continue to stir up these patriotic attitudes. “And once this genie of nationalism comes out of the bottle, it is extremely difficult to put it back in again,” the former premier said to The Telegraph. “It is very tough to put it back in.”

“All that we are aware of is that they need to have a plan for the resolution of the Kashmir conflict. People in Pakistan are unable to comprehend the fact that Kashmiris, who were granted the right by the international community to select their future for themselves via a referendum, has seen India steamroll this decision.

Imran also said that Pakistan’s relationship with its neighbouring nation, India, needs a cooling down period after India stripped IIOJK of its status as a state.

In August 2019, Pakistan took official action to reduce its trading links with India to the same level as those with Israel, a country with which Islamabad does not have any trade ties. The decision was made in response to India’s decision to abolish Article 370 of its constitution, which had accorded a unique status to occupied Kashmir.

The leader of the PTI went on to declare that if he were to be re-elected as prime minister, one of his top priorities would be to improve relations with all of Pakistan’s neighbouring countries, including Afghanistan, Iran, China, and the United States.

“A connection with any or both of these nations is very necessary for us. In his words, “What I do not want is another Cold War scenario in which we are in blocks as we were in the previous Cold War when we were aligned with the United States.”

Imran remarked that his primary priority for Pakistan was finding a way to raise 120 million people out of poverty. He added that the whole region of Central Asia, including Afghanistan, was outside of Pakistan’s orbit.

He came to the conclusion that “the greatest way to do that is if we can have a connection with everyone, to trade with everyone,” so that we can benefit our people. “The best way to do that is if we can have a relationship with everyone,” he said.

Indonesia: Java earthquake leaves 162 dead and hundreds injured

At least 162 people have died and hundreds have been injured as a result of an earthquake on Java, the largest island in Indonesia, according to regional governor Ridwan Kamil.

Java earthquake leaves 162 dead and hundreds injured

According to data from the US Geological Survey, the 5.6-magnitude earthquake that rocked Cianjur town in West Java occurred at a shallow depth of 10 km (six miles).

Numerous patients received outside care while hundreds were brought to hospitals.

Rescuers worked through the night to attempt to reach those who they believed were still trapped under fallen structures.

The epicenter of the earthquake is a heavily populated, landslide-prone region where many poorly constructed homes have been turned to rubble.

According to the most recent statistics available, at least 62 persons have perished, according to earlier estimates from Indonesia’s National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB).

Speaking to local media, Mr. Kamil said that the earthquake had harmed 326 individuals, most of them “suffered fractures from being crushed in debris.”

He did, however, issue a warning that some locals were still “stuck in isolated locations” and said that authorities were “under the premise that the number of wounded and fatalities would climb over time.”

The governor of West Java stated that the tragedy had caused more than 13,000 people to be homeless, while the BNPB said that the Java earthquake had destroyed more than 2,200 dwellings.

The majority of injuries, according to Herman Suherman, the administrative chief of Cianjur Town, were bone fractures brought on by persons being trapped by building rubble.

The AFP news agency cited him as stating earlier in the day, “The ambulances keep on arriving from the villages to the hospital. There are a lot of families in villages that have not left.

According to the governor of West Java, many of the wounded were treated outdoors in a hospital parking lot after the facility lost electricity for many hours as a result of the earthquake.

About 100 kilometers away, in Jakarta, the capital, individuals in high-rise buildings were evacuated as a result of the earthquake.

According to the agency, office personnel in the civic and commercial area fled from their buildings during the Monday quake, which began at 13:21 Western Indonesian Time (WIT).

“I was working when the ground under me began to tremble. I was acutely aware of the trembling. I made no effort to understand what it was, but it became stronger and persisted for a while “Mayadita Waluyo, a lawyer, said AFP.

“We are accustomed to these [earthquakes] in Jakarta, but people were so scared just now, so we too panicked,” office worker Ahmad Ridwan told the news agency Reuters.

Indonesia, which is located in the Pacific “ring of fire” region of tectonic activity, experiences earthquakes often. With almost 2,000 people lost in the 2018 Sulawesi earthquake, the nation has a history of severe earthquakes and tsunamis.

Khawaja Asif says the new army commander will be chosen in three days.

On Monday, the Minister of Defense, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, said that the process for the nomination of the new army commander would be concluded in the next one to three days. He mentioned this during a press conference.

Khawaja Asif says the new army commander will be chosen in three days.

Speaking on the floor of the House, Khawaja Asif stated that the Ministry of Defense has been in receipt of a formal letter from the Prime Minister, which has been communicated to the General Headquarters in order to initiate the process for the appointment of the next army chief. He added that this letter has been communicated to the General Headquarters.

The minister strongly encouraged the media not to make any assumptions about the outcome of the process and to respect its sanctity in this regard.

Earlier, Khawaja was quoted as saying that the process to pick the new army commander has officially begun. However, the summary for the nomination would be sent to the office of the PM within the next day or two.

Asif said that every step of the process would be finished by November 25, rejected claims that the nomination was stuck in a stalemate, and emphasized that government allies are being engaged at every level.

According to the senior minister, there is no pressure being put on the administration in reference to the nomination of the army commander. As soon as we have the synopsis in hand, we will meet to debate the names, which will most likely include five or six of the most senior commanders,” Asif said.

Lionel Richie received the AMA Icon Award during a ceremony held on Sunday, November 20th, 2022.

Lionel Richie received the AMA Icon Award during a ceremony held on Sunday, November 20th, 2022.

Smokey Robinson, a longtime friend of Lionel Richie, gave the prize to the iconic singer, who was 73 at the time.

Richie praised his children and colleagues as he collected the prize, and he made a point of addressing personally the “young superstars” assembled in the room so he could give them advice.

Richie said that only unique individuals have the light shine on them and that they should appreciate it. “When you hear the word ‘hip,’ it means today. When you hear the word ‘inspiring,’ it means forever. If you get a chance to have that light on you, understand what God has in store.”

After the singer, 73, finished his address, close friends Stevie Wonder and Charlie Puth took the stage to pay tribute to the great.

Wonder and Puth selected Commodores tunes as well as Richie’s chart-topping solo hit singles from Richie’s vast music repertoire for the performance. Puth described the duet as a “musical tennis match of Lionel Richie copyright,” and it comprised tremendous classics.

The two took turns performing a clip of a Lionel Richie single, demonstrating the man’s influence throughout the years. Three Times a Lady, All Night Long (All Night), Brick House, and Jesus Is Love were among the songs Wonder covered.

Meanwhile, Puth handled tunes such as Easy and Say You, Say Me. Later, Robinson, Melissa Etheridge, Ari Lennox, Jimmie Allen, Yola, Dustin Lynch, and Muni Long joined them to recreate We Are the World.

Lionel couldn’t stop himself from jumping on stage and joining in.

According to Rolling Stone, Richie is just the second artist after Rihanna to earn the American Music Awards Icon Award. Richie, a 17-time American Music Award winner, sang We Are the World, his chart-topping charity hit that he co-wrote, with an army of all-star singers at the 1987 AMAs.

TRANSGENDER ACTIVISTS IN PAKISTAN SEEK RIGHTS AND PROTECTION.

Carrying posters advocating for the rights of the transgender community, protesters yelled and sang.

Women, life, and liberty was a well-known rallying cry during the recent Iranian demonstrations organized by women.

Participants performed a symbolic funeral for transgender victims of abuse in addition to giving ferocious speeches and performing exciting dance routines.

Amnesty International reports that since October of last year, 18 transgender persons have died in Pakistan.

A significant Supreme Court decision in 2012 recognized transgender individuals as a “third gender,” legalizing their existence.

Through fought-for legislation in 2018, they were subsequently granted the right to vote, equal access to work and education, and the ability to specify their gender on the national identification card.

But some lawmakers and religious groups are now threatening that legislation.

According to Zarish Khanzadi, a trans woman who was there, “there was momentum for acceptance of transgender people, but religious parties made this Act part of their political goal as a way to acquire seats, undercutting the respect of our gender identity.”

In Pakistan, discrimination against transgender persons often takes the form of rape, murder, and other physical acts of violence.

The government this week banned “Joyland,” a Cannes prize-winning film that was also Pakistan’s submission for next year’s Oscars since it was “obviously repulsive to the standards of decency and morality” in the nation.

The national censorship board had already given the film the all-clear, and when the government requested a review, they did so once again.

China is seeing an increase in COVID-19 instances, which has led Beijing to tighten entrance regulations.

On Monday, the capital city of China issued a warning that it was about to face its most severe test of the COVID-19 pandemic. In response, the city closed businesses and schools in districts that had been hit particularly hard, and it tightened rules for entering the city as the number of infections increased both in Beijing and nationally.

China is seeing an increase in COVID instances, which has led Beijing to tighten entrance regulations.

On Monday, the capital city of China issued a warning that it was about to face its most severe test of the COVID-19 epidemic, which resulted in the closure of businesses and schools. Zhengzhou, which is located in the middle of Henan province, and Chongqing, which is located in the southwest of China, are both battling many COVID-19 outbreaks. It recorded 26,824 new local cases on Sunday, which is getting dangerously close to the daily infection high that the country saw in April.

In addition to this, it reported two fatalities in Beijing, which is an increase over the previous day’s total of one fatality, which was China’s first since late May.

Baiyun, the most populated area in Guangzhou, has been placed under quarantine for the next five days as part of the city’s response to the greatest of China’s recent epidemics. Guangzhou is located in southern China and has a population of almost 19 million people. In addition, it put a halt to takeout and delivery services, along with closing nightclubs and theatres in the primary commercial sector of the city.
in areas that were particularly affected and tightening the requirements for accessing the city as the number of illnesses increased in Beijing and throughout the country.

China’s resolve to stick to the adjustments it has made to its zero-COVID policy is being put to the test by the most recent wave. The policy calls for cities to be more targeted in their clampdown measures and to steer away from widespread lockdowns and testing, both of which have stifled the economy and frustrated residents.

On Monday, Asian share markets and oil prices fell due to investor concerns about the potential economic consequences of the escalating COVID issue in China. As a result of this risk aversion, Treasuries and the currency gained ground.

The number of newly reported illnesses in Beijing increased to 962 on Sunday, from 621 the day before, and an additional 316 cases were recorded during the first 15 hours of Monday.

After arriving in the capital city from other parts of China, local officials have said that individuals would be required to submit to COVID testing for a period of three days before they will be allowed to leave their homes or accommodations.

“The city is facing its most complex and severe prevention and control situation since the outbreak of the coronavirus,” Liu Xiaofeng, the deputy director of Beijing’s municipal Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, said during a media briefing. “The city is facing its most complex and severe prevention and control situation since the outbreak of the coronavirus.”

Faisal Vawda insists on not making light of Arshad Sharif's murder.

The former minister, Faisal Vawda made these statements as he was talking to the media in the nation’s capital: “It is a sensitive subject to discuss. It is not appropriate to make a poor joke about this situation.”

The former senator said once again that Sharif was killed as a result of a plot, and that he was shot at a rather close range.

“Pakistan was sleeping until I conducted a press conference,” Faisal Vawda claimed, adding that the late journalist’s phone and iPad were not located after his murder. “Pakistan was asleep,” Vawda added. “I organized a press conference.”

Faisal Vawda said in his commentary on his hypotheses on the individuals who were responsible for the murder of Sharif that the people who were involved are powerful, strategists, and knowledgeable.

“Criminals, who easily escape from Pakistan, should be captured,” he added, emphasizing that we don’t need to reach the shooters, but rather those who ordered the massacre. “Criminals, who easily depart from Pakistan, should be arrested,” he said.

Vawda, when discussing the internal affairs of the PTI and their potential influence on the future of Chairman Imran Khan, said that the individuals — whom he accused of replacing Khan — will become prime minister and have the party’s head dismissed.

He said that he still considers Khan to be his leader and that he would go to Khan whenever he is called, and he stated that Khan should clean the party from the inside. “Imran Khan should clean the party from the inside,” he said.

The previous week, Vawda made the assertion that “certain individuals” want to change the party chairman and said that “all three snakes are candidates for the prime minister’s seat.”

In addition to this, he asserted that “two confidants and three snakes fostered disagreements between Khan and the establishment.”
