BABAR AWAN WANTS HIS NAME REMOVED FROM CRIMINAL PROCEEDINGS.

Babar Awan, leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has reportedly asked the Supreme Court (SC) to remove his name from the criminal proceedings, as reported by ARY News out of ISLAMABAD.

BABAR AWAN WANTS HIS NAME REMOVED FROM CRIMINAL PROCEEDINGS.

In the reply that Babar Awan submitted in the petition seeking contempt proceedings against the former prime minister Imran Khan over the violation of the May 25 order, in which the PTI’s long march was restricted from entering D-Chowk in Islamabad, Babar Awan stated that Khan’s actions constituted a violation of the order.

In his response before the Supreme Court, the leader of the PTI said that he has been providing assistance to the courts for the last four decades. On the basis of verbal instructions from PTI Secretary General Asad Umar, Babar Awan said that he promised the court that the PTI would adhere to the directives of the court about the demonstration that will take place on May 25.

In his response, Babar Awan said, “I have not intentionally or unintentionally deceived the SC,” and he went on to say that he had aided the court with “good intention.”

The former SAPM placed the blame on the federal government for failing to engage in dialogue with the PTI in accordance with the directives issued by the Supreme Court.

Imran Khan, the head of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), had already given his statement to the Supreme Court (SC) in a matter involving contempt.

In his answer, the former prime minister said that he was not aware of the statement that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had sent on his behalf, and he requested further time till November 3 in order to provide a comprehensive response.

Khan said in his response that he has respect for the judicial system but that he is unaware of any assurances that have been given by the leadership of the PTI on his behalf to the court.

It should be brought to your attention that the currently ruling government filed a petition with the Supreme Court against Imran Khan for disobeying the Court’s directive about his prior sit-in in Islamabad.

The Pakistani film “Joyland,” which is their entry for the Oscars in 2023 and is about transgender love, is not allowed to be shown.

“Joyland,” a film from Pakistan that tells the story of a young married man who falls in love with a transgender woman, won a prize at the Cannes Film Festival this year and is set to represent Pakistan at the Academy Awards the following year. “Joyland,” tells the story of a young married man who falls in love with a transgender woman.

Joyland, which is their entry for the Oscars in 2023 and is about transgender love, is not allowed to be shown.

However, the censorship certification for the film ‘Joyland’ was revoked by the Pakistani government only one week before the picture was scheduled to make its premiere in Pakistani theatres.

In support of the motion, Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan of the Islamist Jamaat-e-Islami party, which is now in the opposition, said that the movie ‘Joyland’ went against Islamic principles. He distributed a statement that was released on Friday by the country’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. According to the statement, the decision was made after the ministry received written complaints alleging that the film “contains highly objectionable material” and violated “decency and morality.” He shared this statement with his audience.

The decision to prohibit the film was quickly met with strong condemnation from both the film’s director and rights advocates in the country. As of Tuesday, the hashtag “ReleaseJoyland” has been used tens of thousands of times on social media.

An aide tweeted late Monday night that Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had requested a “high level” inquiry of the ban in response to the widespread uproar that it had sparked. According to Salman Sufi, who is a member of the committee, “the committee will assess the complaints as well as the merits in order to decide on its release in Pakistan.”

The director of “Joyland,” Saim Sadiq, has previously referred to the restriction as a “grave injustice,” in addition to claiming that it was “absolutely unconstitutional and illegal.” In a statement that was released on Sunday, he accused the government of caving in to “pressure from a few extremist factions,” pointing out that the movie had previously been approved for release by the country’s several censorship boards.

“I urge the Pakistan Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to please review this decision and return the right of our citizens to be able to watch the film that has made their country’s cinema proud [all] over the world,” he said. “The film in question has made their country’s cinema proud [all] over the world.”

The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan also voiced their disapproval of the ban, stating that the government’s explanation was “not only rabidly transphobic, but also violates the film producers’ right to freedom of expression.”

The transgender community in Pakistan is referred to as khwaja sira or the third gender. In 2018, the Pakistani Parliament passed a law that enshrined fundamental rights for this community, including the recognition of their self-identification and the prohibition of any form of discrimination against them.

In actuality, however, transgender persons in Pakistan have continued to face discrimination and even violence, and Human Rights Watch has accused the government of “failing to provide adequate protection or hold perpetrators accountable.” The country’s legal system treats partnerships between people of the same sexual orientation as a crime.

In the past, Pakistan has used its right to censor a variety of films, including some that were accused of presenting an unfavourable image of either the nation or Muslims, but in some instances, the judgement was subsequently reversed.

US college shooting results in the deaths of three football players.

After three current University of Virginia football players were shot and killed at the institution a few hours south of the US capital, a former US college football player was detained and charged with murder on Monday.

Four persons were discovered dead in a different event close to the University of Idaho at the same time as the most recent outbreak of gun violence on campus.

Christopher Darnell Jones Jr., a 22-year-old UVA student, was detained on suspicion of carrying out the shooting Sunday night and is now being charged with murder, according to police chief Timothy Longo.

Jones was reportedly taken into custody “without incident” on Monday morning in a Richmond suburb, roughly 120 kilometres (75 miles) southeast of the UVA campus in Charlottesville.

Jim Ryan, the president of UVA, claimed that the shooting occurred on a bus while students were returning from a field trip and that all three of those killed were football players for the school.

Ryan reported that two additional students had been hurt, one of whom was in critical condition.

Ryan declared, “This is a terrible, shocking, and devastating day for our UVA community.” For the victims and their families, “my heart is torn.”

For several hours, the campus in Charlottesville, roughly 100 miles (160 kilometres) southwest of Washington, was shut down while police looked for Jones, a former UVA football player listed as a first-year running back on the Cavaliers’ 2018 roster.

Longo claimed that following a complaint that Jones was in possession of a gun but that there was no weapon found, Jones had previously come to the notice of the school’s “threat assessment” team.

Lavel Davis Jr., Devin Chandler, and D’Sean Perry, all wide receivers with the Cavaliers, were among the three players who perished.

In addition to expressing sympathy to the families of the victims of the “senseless shooting,” the White House urged Congress to enact tighter gun control regulations.

The White House stated that “too many families throughout America are carrying the terrible weight of gun violence.” To remove military equipment from American streets, an assault weapons prohibition must be implemented.

Tim Kaine, a US senator from Virginia, was “heartbroken” when he heard that gun violence had destroyed yet another neighborhood in Virginia.

When a 23-year-old student opened fire on 32 students and faculty members at Virginia Tech in 2007, it became the site of the worst school massacre in American history before he committed suicide.

Police in the Rocky Mountain state of Idaho, more than 2,000 miles to the west, was looking into a different incident in which four students were discovered dead on Sunday in a house close to the University of Idaho campus and were thought to be “victims of homicide.”

Officers responded to a call regarding an unconscious person in the town of Moscow, close to the university.

According to a statement from the police, “four individuals who were deceased were located by authorities upon arrival.”

The reason for death was not disclosed by the authorities, and no one has been detained in connection with the case.

University of Idaho president Scott Green released a statement saying, “It is with great regret that I share with you that the university was informed today of the death of four University of Idaho students residing off-campus who were suspected to be victims of homicide.”

As part of a larger wave of gun violence in the U.S., where the number of guns on the market has grown in recent years, school shootings happen all too often.

An 18-year-old gunman opened fire inside Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, killing 19 students and two teachers in an act that horrified the country and sparked new calls for gun control.

Within just four weeks of its international release, the Fawad Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi-starring movie broke the record for highest-grossing Punjabi movie ever, and it’s still breaking records at the international box office.

The lifetime revenues of other well-known Punjabi movies like Saunkan Saunkne, Chal Mera Putt 2, and Carry on Jatta 2 have been eclipsed by the success of TLOMJ, which was directed and produced by Ammara Hikmat. With almost Rs. 1.72 billion in worldwide box office receipts, it stands out.

Before reaching this milestone, the blockbuster movie previously set a number of milestones, including Most Watched South Asian Film in Norway, Second Highest Grossing South Asian Film in the UK for 2022, and Highest Grossing Pakistani Film.

One of the biggest albums ever to come out of Pakistan is TLOMJ. On October 13, it was made available on more than 500 screens across 25 different countries, including France.

Wasim Akram becomes irate after a fan inquires about Shaheen Afridi

Wasim Akram becomes irate after a fan inquires about Shaheen Afridi

When England defeated Australia in the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) final on Sunday, Pakistan’s chances of winning the T20 World Cup for a second time were destroyed.

Jos Buttler and company claimed the prized title after England’s 138-run chase was guided by Ben Stokes. Shaheen hurt his knee while talking a catch to get rid of Harry Brook, which changed the course of the game. Iftikhar Ahmed was therefore unable to bowl his complete overs, and Stokes and Moeen Ali took advantage of him.

After the game, Wasim Akram discussed Pakistan’s defeat, and it was during this time that a fan inquired about Shaheen Afridi that the former Pakistan captain lost his cool. Despite not having read the question, Akram gave a suitable answer.

Akram reacted angrily, saying, “I wish you were in front of me. This guy, the question you have asked is just misbehaving. If you do not have any respect, you are misbehaving with your player. You are not ashamed; see what he has said about Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Shaheen Afridi’s injury after he landed awkwardly on his knee while taking a catch to eliminate Harry Brook was the turning point in the game. In England’s fifteenth over, this compelled him to end his spell.

Imran Khan was quoted by Dawn.com as saying, “I used to advise my team to fight to the last bowl. Try your best. But when the outcome comes, and you have given your best, it is God’s will. But what is not in your hands, the way Shaheen Afridi was injured, no one can do anything about that.”

I am not suggesting that we could have won, but it was at a point when the game could have been altered, and sadly it happened when the match was at a crucial stage, and Shaheen could have made a difference, he continued.

137 was vigorously defended by Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah, Shaheen, and Mohammad Wasim Jr. Particularly when he removed Phil Salt and Jos Buttler during the powerplay, Rauf gave England a scare.

Ben Stokes, however, made sure that the team finished.

ECP is reserving judgement in the case of the delayed LG elections in Karachi.

ECP

ECP is reserving judgement in the case of the delayed LG elections in Karachi.

After hearing the complaints about the local government elections in Karachi, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) deferred its decision on Tuesday.

The case was heard by a five-member court presided over by Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja.

The ECP issued a statement that read, “The election commission made every attempt to organise local government elections in Karachi, but there are also some ground realities.”

The election authority stated in its statement that the commission will soon make its reserved judgement, which may become effective.

Muhammad Ramzan Malik, Joint Secretary of the Interior Government, had earlier informed the CEC-led ECP panel that the ministry was unable to supply civil armed troops because of the current circumstances.

CEC Sikandar commanded, “Explain in a phrase what you wish to express.” An official from the interior ministry stated, “Forces are busy; they could not be provided for the election.”

The government of Sindh stated that it is now unable to organise elections. Elections must be held; you have deprived us of this authority, the CEC said. Ikramullah Khan of the ECP questioned “under which rule you have changed the local government law.”

According to CEC, provincial governments do not plan to hold local government elections. The elections in Punjab and Sindh must be held because they cannot be based on what you are saying, the CEC remarked.

The first round of local elections in Sindh has concluded, according to the administrator of Karachi, Murtaza Wahab, “while in Karachi we are ready to hold elections in two stages.”

Elections for local governments have twice been postponed because of flooding, according to Wahab. He stated that there was still floodwater in a 25 to 30 percent area. The CEC remarked, “Yesterday you declared that you are ready to organise elections.” The administrator said, “Sindh government is prepared to host local government elections, but security is required.” “We don’t want claims that the government manipulated the results of surveys. The local council elections would be postponed for 90 days by the Sindh government, he said.

The government’s decision to postpone local government elections was supported by IG Sindh Police as well. We are short 17,000 employees, so any unfortunate thing might occur, he added. The poll can be held per the election commission’s directive, but there would be security concerns, according to IG Sindh. According to LG Polls, there were 30 injuries and 17 fatalities due to violent crime in 2015.

Imran cautions that only early elections can save the impending economic disaster.

Imran Khan, a former prime minister and head of the PTI, claimed that the current administration was damaging the nation’s economy and that the economy was “on the verge of default amid mounting default risk.”

“Given the increased default risk, foreign investors will be apprehensive of making investments in Pakistan… I question those who devised conspiracy: who is to blame for this mess?

On Tuesday, he addressed a PTI long march over a video hookup.

elections

Imran cautions that only early elections can save the impending economic disaster.

The five-year currency default swap (CDS) index, used to quantify Pakistan’s risk of default, surged 4.2 percentage points to a new high of 64.2%, signalling that the nation lacked the means to cover the rising import payments and foreign debt repayments on schedule.

Pakistan is expected to pay back $1 billion in relation to a five-year Sukuk (a bond that complies with Shariah) that would mature on December 5, 2022.

According to the current administration, “the country may be unable to pay off its external debts.”

Imran said that inflation has doubled since the PML-N-led coalition government took office and that all economic indices, such as exports, remittances, and tax collections, are falling.

Imran said, citing the Pakistan Economic Survey, that the economy experienced unprecedented development under his nearly four-year presidency.

He continued by claiming that the economy began to deteriorate after the country’s current authorities were “forced” on it through “conspiracy”.

The PTI chief reiterated his call for early elections and claimed that there was no other option to help the nation out of its current predicament.

“As exports and remittances have decreased, our income has decreased. We need to find a way to make money to pay off our debts. Elections are the only way to resolve this situation.

Imran claimed that in the event of default, Pakistan will be required to give up its “most vital national security aspect” in order to receive a bailout from foreign nations.

There is no free lunch, as they say in America.

The PTI leader claimed that the “law of the jungle” and lack of rule of law in society are the core causes of all problems. “Until our judicial system is strengthened, we can never succeed.”

In three historic incidents, including the murder of journalist Arshad Sharif, the alleged torture of PTI Senator Azam Swati over a critical tweet, and the aborted assassination attempt on the PTI leader’s life, he also asked Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial to ensure justice. Police officers refused to file a FIR because they were under pressure from “extremely influential” individuals.

Sikander Sultan Raja, the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), has once more been called a “henchman” of the PML-N, according to the PTI chairman.

The ousted premier further criticised the leader of the PML-N for making crucial choices for the nation while seated in London. “How can a convicted felon and fugitive make crucial decisions, especially the most crucial choice affecting our national security?”

He acknowledged that the new army chief will be chosen by Shehbaz Sharif in accordance with the constitution, but added that Sharif lacked the “moral authority” to make such a crucial decision “on the whims of his brother” Nawaz.

He continued, “Nawaz does not want elections because he knows he would lose.

As the world population surpasses 8 billion, climate justice becomes more challenging

image 39 2

The United Nations warned that greater misery was in store for regions already experiencing resource constraint due to climate change as the world population surpassed 8 billion people on Tuesday.According to UN estimates, there will be less of everything to go around by the 2080s as the world’s population is expected to grow by another 2.4 billion people. This includes food, water, batteries, and gasoline.

According to Stephanie Feldstein of the Center for Biological Diversity, who oversees population and sustainability, “every single person needs fuel, wood, water, and a place to call home.”Experts predict that resource pressure will be particularly difficult in African countries where population growth is anticipated. These are also some of the nations that need climate finance the most and are most susceptible to the effects of the climate.

The release of “Joyland” was scheduled for November 18th, 2022, however, the film’s release was canceled by the Pakistan Censorship Board.

Joyland ban, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has established a review committee.

Premier Shehbaz Sharif has appointed a committee to review the ban on the film Joyland, and the news was made by the Director of PM’s Strategic Reforms Salman Sufi.

In a tweet dated November 14, 2022, Sufi said that the premier had “constituted a high-level committee to assess” the “complaints as well as the merits to decide on its release in Pakistan.”

Marriyum Aurangzeb, Minister of Information, received praise from Sufi as well.

Previously, Sufi had tweeted that he did not support the ban on films, expressing his own personal opinions on the matter. I don’t think it’s right to restrict movies because they bring attention to problems experienced by underrepresented groups in society. It is important to give people the freedom to view and form their own opinions.

Saim Sadiq’s Joyland, produced by ALL CAPS and Sarmad Khoosat Films, and directed by Sadiq, was scheduled for release in Pakistan on November 18th, 2022, however, the Pakistan Censorship Board banned its screenings.

After taking home the prize at the renowned Cannes Film Festival for a film with a feminist message, Joyland earned widespread acclaim.

Pakistan’s first official Oscar submission, the film depicts the challenges of transgender people. To be eligible, though, it had to debut in theatres throughout the nation no later than the week of November 23, 2022.

Sadiq claims that in August of 2022, the three censor bodies in Pakistan gave the film their okay.

After the man’s identity became public, there was a backlash against the movie’s prohibition on social media. Pakistani celebrities such as Sarwat Gillani, Osman Khalid Butt, Adnan Malik, and Sanam Saeed spoke out. Actress Alexandra Daddario has also vouched for the movie.

Other prominent figures, like author Fatima Bhutto and Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, have also spoken out against the ban.

He was filmed when he arrived at the airport and stepped out of his vehicle. The musician wore all black, including his T-shirt, jacket, and pants. He donned shoes, covered his face with a mask, and slung a backpack over his shoulder. The video shows him bowing to the crowd of onlookers and photographers.

Then, he set his bag down and acted like he was about to make a goal. He claimed to have scored a goal after making contact with the phantom ball. Just like everyone else, Jungkook created a heart with his hands and waved to the audience before entering the terminal. He grinned, gave the peace sign, and bowed to the onlookers.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup will include an appearance by Golden Maknae in the opening ceremony. BTS confirmed Jungkook’s participation in the World Cup’s official music and opening ceremony on November 12.

BTS: Will Kim Taehyung, nicknamed V, be traveling to Qatar with Jungkook for the FIFA World Cup in 2022? Curious about airport conversation

Does anybody know whether Kim Taehyung, nicknamed V, from BTS will be joining Jungkook in Qatar for the FIFA World Cup in 2022? The fans have no idea whether he is going to Qatar, Paris, or Mexico.

The BTS ARMY has reached the highest of highs. Kim Taehyung, nicknamed BTS V, seems to have sprung a surprise on his listeners. He was last spotted leaving Incheon Airport, Korea, for unknown purposes. It seems that he will be accompanying Jungkook onstage for the latter’s solo performance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. His whereabouts were unknown for a while, but it turns out that there are no planes departing from Seoul to Paris today.

Those of his fans who checked his travel itinerary and realized that he wasn’t heading to Mexico share that opinion. We all know he’s supposed to be filming the program Youn’s Kitchen with the Wooga Squad. Some have speculated that a flight to Abu Dhabi may be a transit point for passengers en route to or from Qatar.

Kim Taehyung told the press that he was meant to be with Jungkook. From Gimpo Airport, the BTS Golden Maknae flew in a private jet. However, it is unclear whether he is really going to Qatar or not. The style of the airport was spot on. He wore jeans, a t-shirt, and a bulky leather jacket. Kim Taehyung, also known as BTS V, smiled widely. ARMY can’t get over how adorable he looks at the airport.

Why and how technology is changing the face of real-time teamwork

Real-time collaboration has been transformed thanks to technology.

technology role in changing face of real time

One good thing to come out of the epidemic was the increased emphasis on technology by businesses. The entire business landscape is shifting as a result of the digital revolution, from product creation to growth and innovation.

However, the most crucial aspect of this is how it is facilitating enhanced cooperation, both within corporations and through mergers and partnerships. In the wake of a merger or acquisition (M&A), it has facilitated real-time collaboration between previously isolated staff and helped businesses combine previously distinct company cultures.

Global technology firm Altair presented a panel at the recent Fast Company Creation Festival to address how data and software are enabling businesses to be more humane and data-driven in their approaches to collaboration and innovation.

Here are three key takeaways from the event.

1. TECHNOLOGY IS BROADENING COLLABORATION.

In fact, businesses have been able to increase efficiency and foster more collaboration among stakeholders because of the widespread adoption of technological solutions. Good videoconferencing, whiteboarding, and other tools can make collaboration more possible for a distant workforce, but in-person meetings and personal interaction are always crucial. According to IBM’s VP of corporate strategy and M&A, Tejasvi Chugh, “when you have people that are spread out across geographies, you don’t necessarily need to take a day to fly six hours just to have a half-hour meeting and then fly back.”

Stephanie Buckner, Altair’s chief operating officer, has noted that the company’s greater use of technology has made it easier to engage with people from other firms during due diligence and to hear their new ideas early on in the acquisition process. Even before we met in person, it helped us communicate and advance quickly in those kinds of encounters and technology. At Altair, we believe that innovation comes from everywhere, not just within our organization but truly from a global standpoint. Because of this, we are able to contact more people than ever before thanks to modern communications tools

Principal M&A consultant at Deloitte Consulting Stephanie Dolan has stated that virtual technology has made it simpler to involve more stakeholders in conversations around possible acquisition targets. Since then, there have been more people contributing to these high-level discussions. “You’re able to pull people from different parts of the organization, so it’s actually increasing the diversity in the room,” she explained. There are many more women and people of color participating in the target screening process and joining transaction teams, as well. And because of all those fresh perspectives, there’s a newfound spirit of the invention, and that’s incredibly wonderful.

2. Don’t get bogged down in big data.

Data is becoming increasingly important to the success of businesses, from complex algorithms used to expedite production to information gathered about employees to maximize their potential. But in the midst of this data deluge, businesses must ask themselves, “What data is really useful?”

Buckner believes the solution at Altair isn’t to collect as much information as possible, but rather to pinpoint the issue at hand and then choose and choose the information that would best help you make a judgment. She emphasized the need of having “the right data, not just big data.”

3. Don’t forget the human connection.

Despite the importance of implementing cutting-edge technologies and refining data processes, organizations must never lose sight of the value of their employees. That’s especially true when a merger or acquisition requires bringing together two different business cultures. Dolan said Deloitte pulls in plenty of data to assess a company’s culture and measure employee engagement. The collected information will eventually be used to map out a course of action for these workers to follow as their organizations merge.

She explained that they were using the information and technology to create a path for their staff. To determine which interventions or activities would have the greatest impact on employees, we use human-centred design to consider key points in the employee experience. The goal is to give people what they need at just the right time.”

Buckner pointed out that Altair relies on individual feedback to help draw a bead on what makes a particular company tick. Altair seeks input from people throughout the company, not just within the corporate development team, to help paint a more complete picture of that company’s culture. “The fact is that cultural insights can come from a developer or a sales individual or from anywhere within the organization,” she said. “After all, they are the boots on the ground.”

The head of the CIA meets with Putin’s espionage chief to discuss nuclear weapons and prisoners.

The head of the CIA had a conversation with the head of Putin’s espionage agency about nuclear weapons and detainees.

cia head meets putin

LONDON/WASHINGTON (Reuters) – During their meeting on Monday, the head of the CIA in the United States, William Burns, was expected to caution President Vladimir Putin’s spy chief about the consequences of any use of nuclear weapons, and he was also expected to bring up the issue of American prisoners in Russia, according to an official from the White House.

Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the Kremlin, confirmed to Russian news agencies that a meeting between the United States and Russia had taken place in the capital city of Turkey, Ankara; however, he declined to provide specifics about the participants or the topics that were addressed at the meeting.

Burns is scheduled to meet with Sergei Naryshkin, who is the head of Russia’s SVR foreign intelligence service, according to a spokesperson for the White House who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
Since Russia invaded Ukraine in February, this was the first known face-to-face encounter between high-level United States and Russian officials.

“He is not participating in any form of negotiation at this time. He is not going to talk about ending the war in Ukraine at this time “a representative of the company stated.

“He is delivering a message regarding the repercussions that would result from the use of nuclear weapons by Russia, as well as the dangers that would be posed to the strategic balance of power… He will also bring up the situations of United States individuals who have been jailed without due cause.”

Burns, a former ambassador for the United States to Russia, was dispatched by President Joe Biden to Moscow in the latter half of 2021 in order to warn Vladimir Putin about the buildup of troops in the area surrounding Ukraine.

“We provided Ukraine with an update on his travel before he left. We will not budge from our core belief that there should be no discussion of Ukraine unless Ukraine is involved “a representative of the company stated.
Putin has stated on multiple occasions that, in the event of an attack, Russia will defend its territory using any and all methods at its disposal, including nuclear weapons. According to him, Russia is the victim of nuclear blackmail on the part of the West.

MANY OUTSTANDING ISSUES

After Moscow announced in September that it had annexed four Ukrainian regions that its forces partly control, the words sparked special worry in the West.
The Russian publication Kommersant was the one that broke the news that the United States and Russia had been in contact with one another in Turkey. A request for comment from the SVR was not met with a response.

Beyond the conflict itself, Russia and the United States still have a number of unresolved matters to talk about. These concerns range from the renewal of a nuclear arms reduction treaty and a Black Sea grain agreement to the possibility of a prisoner swap and the civil war in Syria.

When asked about the conference in Turkey during a summit of the Group of 20 (G20) leading economies that took place in Indonesia, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stated that the United Nations was not involved in the event.

This month, Vice President Biden expressed his hope that Russian President Vladimir Putin would be willing to discuss seriously the possibility of making a trade in order to secure the release of American basketball star Brittney Griner, who is currently serving a sentence of nine years in a Russian penal colony for drug charges.

Paul Whelan, a former United States Marine who currently possesses passports from the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Ireland, was found guilty of spying in 2020 and sentenced to 16 years in a Russian prison, despite his denial of the charge.

It has been suggested that Viktor Bout, a Russian arms dealer currently detained in the United States, could be the prisoner who is exchanged for Griner and Whelan in the event that a prisoner swap takes place.

PIMS provides additional information regarding Arshad Sharif’s autopsy in the report.

pims report of autopsy of Arshad sharif

The PIMS report details the journalist’s numerous injuries and scars.
Hospital says the report’s details have been shared with police and family.
A day before the post-mortem report of slain journalist Arshad Sharif would be submitted to the Islamabad High Court (IHC), more details surrounding the report surfaced on Monday.

Arshad was slain by the Kenyan Police in a case of “mistaken identity” on October 24. However, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah claims that the journalist was slain in a “targeted attack”.

The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) confirmed that Arshad had 12 lesions on his body. To the left of his eyes was a deep black spot. The journalist was injured on the right side of his body, specifically his neck and chest. One of his back’s upper sides bore the telltale sign of an earlier injury.

Dark black marks were noted around the wound on Arshad’s back, as stated in the autopsy report. His right hand was missing four nails, and his right ankle bore signs of friction. The left side of the skull was devoid of bone, and the afflicted area of the brain was similarly located on the left side of the head. The journalist suffered a broken third rib and damage to his left lung.

The report also noted that two of Arshad’s fingers on his left hand had blood clots in their nails. The journalist’s brain and lungs were hit by the bullet. The index finger of his left hand was injured as well.

PIMS insiders said they were given the Kenyan autopsy report after they finished their own investigation. According to the report that had arrived from Kenya, blood and liver samples had been taken from Arshad.

Sources at PIMS said the autopsy was revised to include the results of the journalist’s X-rays and CT scan, and that the police and Arshad’s family had been informed of the changes. The post-mortem report comes with an additional report of its own, this one seven pages long.

Sharif’s postmortem report, written by doctors at PIMS, was reportedly given to his family in Islamabad by FIA (Federal Investigation Agency) Senior Director Ather Waheed.

verdict in case of terrorist Attack

Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, a spokesperson for Pakistan’s Foreign Office (FO), stated on Monday that the “proactive investigation, prosecution, and verdict” in the case of the terrorist attack on Chinese engineers working on the Dasu hydropower project last year “have once again demonstrated Pakistan’s abiding commitment to counterterrorism.”

In answer to a question on the verdict, Baloch stated that “We have noted the verdict passed by the relevant Court and details released by the local police,” He went on to say that specific questions regarding the matter “may be directed to the relevant authorities.”

She noted that “we again extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and remain committed to the safety and security of Chinese workers, projects, and institutions in Pakistan.” “We remain committed to the safety and security of Chinese workers, projects, and institutions in Pakistan,” she said.

The statement that the “Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership will never be undermined by hostile forces.” was repeated by the spokesperson.

On Friday, a Pakistani anti-terrorism court handed down death sentences to two militants for their roles in a terrorist attack that resulted in the deaths of nine Chinese nationals working on the Dasu hydropower project.

At least 13 persons were killed when a bomb was detonated on purpose in the vicinity of a hydropower plant site in the remote upper Kohistan region in the month of July 2021. Nine of the victims were Chinese nationals.

In addition to the tragic loss of life, there were a total of 26 Chinese nationals were injured as a result of the incident. Of these, 12 Chinese workers received critical injuries, while the remaining 14 Chinese workers were hurt less severely.

As a direct result of this, the rate at which the project was being implemented slowed significantly.

In the wake of the accident, the Chinese contractor withdrew their workforce from the location and made a number of demands as preconditions for resuming work. One of these demands was the payment of $37 million as compensation for the Chinese workers who had been killed or injured in the accident.

This project is Pakistan’s flagship project, and once it’s finished, it will increase the country’s generation capacity by 4,320 megawatts (MW).
