Tanveer Jamal, a well-known television personality from Pakistan, passed away on Wednesday at the age of 62 in Japan following a protracted battle with cancer.
The actor-producer was initially given a lung cancer diagnosis in 2016, but he recovered and returned to television dramas.
But while he was filming the drama serial Mere Apne last year, he received a second diagnosis of the illness.
In May 2022, he relocated to Japan to receive treatment for the fatal illness, and he even pleaded with his followers to pray for his recovery.
Jamal had a 35-year acting career and was well known for his acting skills. He even received praise from PTV for his outstanding performance.
The late star became well-known when he produced and directed the private production of the drama series Godfather.
Jamal left behind three children and a Japanese wife.
