ISLAMABAD: Ex-WAPDA Discos (XWDISCOSs) will be able to rake in an extra Rs94 billion in customer fees thanks to the rise in the electricity rate that the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) approved of by Rs3.21 per unit.
The increase is the result of a quarterly Fuel Charges Adjustment (FCA) for the final quarter of the fiscal year 2021–22 (April–June) due to the overuse of refined furnace oil (RFO), high-speed diesel (HSD), and liquefied natural gas (LNG) in power generation, according to a notification released by NEPRA on Friday.
