ISLAMABAD: TopCity, one of the most meticulously-planned housing project in the twin cities, has come forward with another one of its kind initiative.
The TopCity management has started a massive tree plantation campaign, in a bid to help the country in its efforts on the climate change front. Under the said campaign, thousands of plants and trees will be planted in the society which will massively increase the tree cover in the society.
According to World Wildlife Fund (WWF), only 5.7 percent of land, in Pakistan is under forest cover, the country’s deforestation rate is the second highest in Asia. Plantation initiatives are imperative to curb the deforestation in the country and TopCity has decided to play its part in this regard.
The society has also enhanced its anti-dengue efforts as the dengue season approaches. According to details, the society is conducting door-to-door anti-dengue spray and fogging activities. The anti-dengue measures also include an awareness campaign to inform the residents about precautionary measures.
Other than the plantation and anti-dengue campaign, TopCity is actively facilitation the on-going third nationwide polio campaign of the year. The society has urged all residents to ensure administering of vaccination drops to children.
Recently, the society also celebrated the country’s Independence Day with full zeal. The whole society was decorated in the colors of the national flag and building were decorated as well. A car rally on pakistan independence was also arranged
In the coming days, TopCity management is also considering launching a campaign to help the flood affectees of the recent flooding in the country.
