KARACHI: According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s (PMD) forecast, Karachi won’t likely have severe rain today, the monsoon season’s current wet spell that has been battering the port city appears to be partially done (Friday).
However, the metropolis is expected to experience sporadic light to moderate showers until August 22, according to the most recent weather forecast from the Met office.
Karachi and other parts of Sindh continued to experience sporadic downpours on Thursday.Up until August 20, Sindh’s upper and central regions are anticipated to see severe rain. The Met Office issued alerts earlier this week for flash floods and heavy rainfall in Sindh from August 16 to August 19.
In addition, 669mm of rain was reported in Quaidabad, 612mm in Defence Housing Authority (DHA), 583mm in Surjani Town, 556mm in Nazimabad, 477mm in Saddar Town, 437mm in Kiamari Town, 425mm in Orangi Town, 424mm in University Road, and 400mm in North Karachi.
