The annual bull run celebrations in Valencia, Spain, have resulted in the deaths of three individuals due to severe injuries.
Every year, thousands of people participate in the traditional bous al carrer (bull-running) in the Valencia region, where they try to outrun bulls through villages. However, given that 20 people have died in the last eight years as a result of catastrophic injuries, the festival has drawn criticism from all around the world.
Three guys have passed away in the past two weeks while attending the bull festival in Valencia.
A bull threw a 56-year-old man into the air, causing a severe traumatic brain injury. Nine days later, the man passed away in a Valencia hospital.A 50-year-old man also passed away in the hospital after having a bull pierce his lung.
Another incident involved a 64-year-old French tourist who was injured and later died.
The accidents, according to the mayor of Melania, were a danger that people voluntarily took.
