LAHORE: A delegation of journalists from Bahawalpur led by senior journalist A. Majeed Gill called on Governor Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rehman at Governor House Lahore today. The delegation included senior journalists Mohammad Amin Abbasi, Amjad Mahmood Awan, Mian Asif Kabir, Chaudhry Shahid Bashir, Malik Ghulam Mustafa Channar, Nazir Abbas Ghalo, Fahad Shafiq, Abdul Hafeez Anjum, Dr. Rizwan, and others. Matters related to education and others came under discussion during the meeting.
Governor Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rehman said that the service of the people is the first priority of the present government and all resources are being utilized to provide them with education, health, and other basic facilities.
He stated that the nation is now dealing with a number of difficulties, including economic issues, and that the government is working hard to address these difficulties.
He asserted that when economic issues are resolved, the nation will advance. The PML-N government, according to Governor Punjab, has consistently taken action to promote South Punjab’s development. He claimed that the PML-N-era public welfare initiatives were neglected by the previous administration.
He claimed that the public benefit projects begun under the previous PML-N administration are still unfinished. He declared that the PML-N would carry on with its public service mission.
In the Punjab Provincial Cabinet, two additional provincial ministers were sworn in today.
The Provincial Ministers were sworn in by Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman. Those who took the oath were Imran Khalid Butt and Zaheer Iqbal Chanar.
Later, Governor of Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rehman expressed his sincere sadness over Ashraf Rahi’s passing as the secretary of the Punjab Bar Council. He sent his sympathies to the grieving family and prayed for the deceased’s higher levels.
