The death of Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old Iranian Kurdish woman who was imprisoned by the morality police for allegedly failing to adhere to the regime’s stringent hijab regulations in Tehran, sparked protests across the country.
Since Amini’s passing, demonstrations have spread across the nation and soon intensified into political protests.
The country’s top authority, the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, has been denounced by protesters, who are also demanding for the overthrow of the government.
