In order to avoid exam cheating, a college in the Philippines instructed its pupils to wear headgear. In response to this restriction, many students in Legazpi City donned humorous DIY hats created out of egg cartons, cardboard, and other materials. On social media, images of the students donning “anti-cheating caps” went viral, making people giggle.Mary Joy Mandane-Ortiz, a teacher, told the BBC that she was seeking for a “fun method to maintain integrity and honesty” in the classroom.
She claimed that the plan, which had been put into practise during the midterm exams, had been “very effective.”The professor claimed that she had asked for “basic” paper creations from her students. She was inspired by a concept that was employed in Thailand a while back. But the children went above and beyond with their imagination and created incredible hats.
In the photos, some of the pupils could be seen using egg trays as hats, while others wore bandannas, paper bags, helmets, and Halloween masks.Thousands of people liked the teacher’s Facebook posts featuring images of her students. Many students finished the test early, according to Professor Mandane-Ortiz, and no one was caught doing so.
