ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Ministry has placed the name of a former advisor to ex-premier Shehzad Akbar on the Exist Control List (ECL) to arrest him on his return to Pakistan.
Shehzad Akbar and attorney Zia-ul-Mustafa Naseem are among the ten names that have received approval from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s federal cabinet to be included in the ECL on Tuesday. Two of the ten people were chosen by NAB for cabinet approval, and the other eight names were recommended by security agencies.
Shahzad Akbar is now abroad, but according to sources, he could be detained upon his return to Pakistan if he’s sought for anything. The UK National Crime Agency paid Bahria Town 50 million pounds, and the names of two people involved in that case have also been added to the ECL.
