According to some sources, Shaheen and Babar had a verbal altercation in the locker room following the team’s defeat to Sri Lanka. Shaheen, however, just put an end to all the rumors by sharing a photo of himself and Babar on Instagram and X.
His “Family” caption was accompanied by a heart emoticon.
Prior to the World Cup, the rumors of a disagreement between Shaheen and Babar had worried Pakistani supporters because the green shirts primarily rely on their key players.
Recent media speculations state that all-rounder Shadab Khan is set to be replaced by fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi as the vice-captain of the ODI and T20I squads.
