ISLAMABAD: Imran Khan, the chairman of the PTI, on Friday sought justice for Shahbaz Gill, his chief of staff, and alleged that he had been sexually assaulted while in police custody.
The PTI chairman issued a string of tweets claiming, “All the photographs and videos plainly reveal Gill was tortured both psychologically and physically, including sexual abuse – most too terrible to narrate.”
A district and sessions court in Islamabad decided earlier today to transfer Gill to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for a reevaluation of his health notwithstanding the police’s request to extend his remand in a sedition case.
The court noted that Shahbaz Gill’s condition was not good when announcing the judgement reserved by Judicial Magistrate Raja Farrukh Ali Khan, the on-call judge.
