Shah Mahmood Qureshi, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), stated on Monday that if the public lost faith in the courts, they would not turn to the institutions.
He claimed that Nawaz Sharif’s indictment and disqualification can be overturned and that all signs have pointed in that direction while speaking exclusively to BOL News.
Shah Mahmood said that unless institutions in Pakistan are free and impartial, no amount of growth would be feasible, and that the unbiasedness of institutions leads to the breakdown of the system.
The PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz’s passport was returned, but the PTI leader argued that it was just the second stage in the NRO-II procedure.
It is important to note that today, following a hearing on Maryam Nawaz’s petition, the Lahore High Court ordered the return of the PML-N leader’s passport.
Maryam Nawaz had earlier argued in court that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had failed to make a reference against her in the previous four years and demanded the recovery of her passport.
The NAB contended that the passport is no longer required for the investigations against the PML-N leader after the LHC ordered it after hearing the arguments.
According to insider sources, Maryam Nawaz is anticipated to visit London and meet her father and brothers.
