On Sunday, several Pakistani marathon runners competed in the two biggest marathons in the world: the New York and Istanbul marathons.This year, more than 50,000 individuals ran in the New York Marathon, including actor and anti-trafficking advocate Ashton Kutcher.
The runners carrying the Pakistani flag participated in a procession in Central Park on Friday before the New York Marathon, which was also live-streamed on American television.Along with them, runners of Pakistani descent from several nations, such as the United States, Britain, and Australia, ran in the New York Marathon, including Faisal Shafi from Karachi and Bilal Ahsan from Islamabad.
