The Pakistani rupee made a new comeback against the US dollar in the interbank market on Monday, continuing to stabilise for the second straight working day.
Details show that the local currency increased by Rs2.63 in relation to the US dollar and ended the day at Rs237.02. The rupee had a Friday closing value of Rs239.65, according to statistics from Pakistan’s central bank.
With the most recent intraday increase, the rupee has now gained a total of Rs2.7 during the last two business days.
The local unit saw a significant rebound of Rs7 on the open market and was trading at about Rs238.
The benchmark KSE-100 index climbed more than 400 points and was trading at about 41,000 points, signalling the return of the bull to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
