ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhary has said that with respect, the observation of Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial is inconsistent with the constitution.
In response to CJP’s comments, he stated that the assembly has a five-year term before being dissolved at the hearing of a case involving the resignations of PTI lawmakers on Thursday.
“The assembly is not regarded as the voice of the people. In response to the Supreme Court’s decision to halt the elections, we are contributing significantly more money “He made a statement.
According to Fawad Chaudhry, Pakistan has lost $5 billion as a result of the government shift.
The former federal minister claimed on Twitter that Pakistan’s Supreme Court is unaware that the country has already lost $5 billion in currency as a result of the regime change operation.
“We are paying a considerably bigger price for the decision of the Supreme Court which stopped the polls,” he continued, “than the expenditure on general elections.”
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was urged to reconsider its decision to withdraw from the National Assembly by the Supreme Court of Pakistan earlier in the day.
CJP Justice Umar Ata Bandial and Justice Ayesha Malik made up the two-person SC bench that heard the PTI’s plea over the acceptance of its resignations from NA all at once.
The SC gave PTI time to consult with PTI leader Imran Khan on the appeal while advising them to withdraw their resignations from the NA and return to Parliament.
