PTI leaders are to be arrested by the law enforcement agency.
In response to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s threat to block all roads leading into and out of Islamabad, law enforcement authorities (LEAs) have decided to crack down on PTI party officials.
The decision to come down on leaders, according to government sources, was made at a crucial gathering of law enforcement agencies the other night.
Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf’s officials such as Pervez Khattak, Sheikh Rashid Shafiq, and Aamir Kiyani had arrest warrants issued for them.
Ali Amin Gandapur and Malik Amir Dogar were also targeted for arrest.
The Rangers, the FC, and the federal police will conduct a joint patrol up to the airport, and anyone impeding access to the airport would face severe consequences.
At the conference, it was resolved that Airport Road must remain open at all costs.
Also, in light of the PTI’s lengthy march and the anti-establishment rhetoric of its leaders, the Punjab police were stationed around the General Headquarters (GHQ).
There will be no protests or demonstrations outside the GHQ from any groups or political workers.
The police in Punjab will prevent any activists or political groups from reaching the GHQ.
