Wahab Riaz, a prominent pacer for Pakistan, commented on Babar Azam’s captaincy on Thursday, adding that the latter “would learn from his experiences.”
Azam only had a year of experience as a captain in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), according to Riaz, thus he needs more time to develop in this area.
The pacer claimed in an exclusive interview with that Babar’s appointment as Peshawar Zalmi’s captain will be a beneficial addition for the team as a whole, including himself.
“We are fortunate that Peshawar is currently led by the captain of Pakistan. We have an excellent chance to compete under his leadership. Each participant, including myself, will make an effort to establish their value “said he.
100 PSL wickets for Wahab
The left-arm pacer was also thrilled that he was the only PSL bowler to have 100 or more wickets. In 77 games so far throughout Pakistan’s premier tournament, he has taken 103 wickets.
Wahab remarked, “I am grateful to Allah for allowing me to play in this league and for helping me accomplish this milestone of obtaining 100+ wickets. “Another year means more chances for me. I’ll make the most of it and work to get my team victories.”
