Bob Chen claimed during a news conference that he was assaulted by guys after being pulled onto the premises of the embassy and sustained injuries that required hospitalisation.
It occurs one day after a British MP claimed that one of China’s top UK diplomats was involved.
China has asserted that there have been efforts to enter illegally amid the increasing dispute.
The event on Sunday left Mr. Chen, a Hongkonger, physically and psychologically injured, according to Mr. Chen, who spoke during a news conference called by several British MPs.
He spoke of being assaulted outside the embassy by masked men, some of whom he claimed were attempting to remove a display.
“I then discovered that I was being led into the consulate’s premises. I clung on the gates as I was kicked and punched, but I could not maintain my grip for very long “said he.
“I was eventually dragged onto the consulate’s floor. I felt numerous men punching and kicking me. I was being forced into this scenario despite the efforts of other protesters to free me.
“The assault was only stopped when a man who afterwards identified himself as a Greater Manchester Police officer escorted me outside the gates.
