William was in New York for the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit, where he announced the 2019 finalists for the prize he established in 2020 to encourage the discovery of effective responses to pressing environmental issues.
King Charles, meanwhile, landed in France on Wednesday for a three-day official visit, where he and President Emmanuel Macron will attempt to mend years of strained relations by relying on symbols and personal connections.
