The admission exam for government-run and privately-funded medical universities and colleges will be held on November 13 or 20, according to a Friday announcement from the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC).
In an interview with Geo.tv, PMC President Dr. Naushad Sheikh stated that although it has been decided to hold the admission exam in Pakistan in the middle of November, the precise date would soon be set.He stated that a single government university is permitted to administer the test in each province and that it will be administered in accordance with a uniform policy.
“Students with 60% in intermediate exams will be eligible to appear in the entrance test,” he stated, noting that formerly, students with 65% in intermediate exams were eligible, but the law has since changed.According to him, pupils who receive a score of 55 will be qualified to enrol in a medical college, while those who receive a score of 45 will be qualified for a dentistry college.The test will be taken by 250,000 pupils nationwide for 20,000 seats, according to the president.
