PM Shehbaz emphasised during his speech at the summit the value of promoting more investment and strengthening ties between the two countries.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to provide the required facilities to international investors and companies and announced the creation of a business council to encourage investments in Pakistan.The Prime Minister emphasised Pakistan’s wealth of resources and the country’s potential for economic expansion.
In reference to security issues, Sharif conveyed his sympathies over the unfortunate event in which five Chinese nationals perished due to terrorism in Besham.
He reiterated China’s position as Pakistan’s reliable friend and ally, providing assistance in difficult circumstances, such as during hostilities, natural catastrophes, or on international fora.
The Prime Minister committed to prioritising the safety of Chinese nationals employed in Pakistan by assuring them of increased security measures.
In a meeting with Transsion Holdings’ founder and chairman, Zhu Zhaojiang, the premier expressed appreciation for the company’s desire to increase its investments in Pakistan’s mobile manufacturing industry and investigate prospects in electric motorcycles, contemporary agriculture, and fintech.
Shehbaz Sharif instructed the appropriate authorities to work with Transsion Holdings to create a plan of action.
Speaking on the problem of inflation, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb said that steps taken by the government have produced encouraging economic data, such as a narrowing of the current account deficit.
