On Monday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif traveled to Quetta for a day-long visit to supervise relief efforts in Balochistan’s flood-affected areas.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority reports that nine more individuals have died in rain-related mishaps in Balochistan over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of people killed in such accidents since June 1 to 136. This is in conjunction with the prime minister’s visit (PDMA).

After arriving in Quetta, he received a thorough briefing from the NDMA, which was followed by instructions for the prompt distribution of financial aid to the relatives of those who lost their lives as a result of rain and flooding, according to state-run Radio Pakistan.
The government has boosted the amount of financial help for people whose homes had been destroyed by rain to Rs500,000, the prime minister remarked at the time.
