ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani rupee appreciated by Rs2.96 against the US dollar in interbank trading on Wednesday, finishing at Rs273.32 compared to Rs276.28 the day before.
The purchasing and selling values of the dollar in the open market were reported at Rs277 and Rs280, respectively, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP).
According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the price of the euro decreased by Rs2.50 and ended the day at Rs293.92 as opposed to the previous day’s closing price of Rs296.42 (SBP).
The exchange rates for the Saudi riyal and the Emirates dirham fell by 80 and 78 paisa, respectively, to settle at Rs74.41 and Rs72.85.
