Peshawar loses a life to dengue
Another dengue death was reported in Peshawar, Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, on Saturday, bringing the total number of fatalities from the disease to 18.
The dengue patient who passed away was a Peshawar resident, according to a Health Ministry official. He revealed that the total number of dengue cases in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has reached 20,940 after 136 new cases were registered.
He stated that the number of dengue patients in the provincial capital of Pew rose to 8,833 due to the addition of 84 new cases.
New dengue cases have been reported in the numbers of 16 in Mardan, 19 in Bannu, and 16 in Swabi, according to the official.
According to him, in the past day, six people with dengue have been admitted to hospitals in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and 45 people are receiving treatment for dengue at the moment.
