ISLAMABAD: A significant decision was made by the National Assembly’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on Thursday to discontinue providing free Hajj services to ministers, employees of government agencies, Khuddam, and VIPs.
Speaking to reporters, PAC Chairman Noor Alam Khan pledged that the NA body will stop offering free Hajj accommodations to Khuddam and government employees. He said, “Even the prime minister, ministers, and any political figure cannot perform the Hajj for free.”
In the meantime, the PAC requested information from the relevant ministry and the Accountant General of Pakistan Revenues regarding people who had been doing the Hajj without spending any of their own money within 15 days (AGPR).
