ISLAMABAD: Winter has arrived, and there is a major gas scarcity, particularly in Punjab province, where residential consumers will only receive eight hours per day as of next month.
The region that will be severely hurt by the gas shortage, according to reports, is Punjab, where Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited won’t have enough supply. It is mainly because Punjab plays a smaller part in output than Sindh, Balochistan, and KPK.
According to Article 158 of the Constitution, the province that supplies the gas has priority claim to it. Home consumers in Punjab will get at preset times during the day, despite the fact that the situation may be better in other provinces.
