PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz
After Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz announced that people consuming up to 100 units of electricity per month would receive free electricity, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz criticised the PTI for petitioning the Supreme Court.
Nine million low-income families across the province are anticipated to receive electricity as a result of the recent announcement. K-FCA
According to a tweet from Maryam, the poor in Punjab now have access to free electricity. So, rather than appealing the Punjab CM’s decision to the Supreme Court, the PTI should offer free electricity to those in need in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
The PML-N vice president stated that one should work hard rather than harbour jealousy in order to provide free electricity to the needy in KP. K-FCA
In a letter to the Supreme Court earlier today, PTI senior leader Fawad Chaudhry criticised the chief minister’s “relief package,” calling the announcement that free electricity would be provided to the general public ahead of the by-elections a “violation of the court orders and an attempt to gain political mileage.”
The chief minister’s strategy for resolving Punjab’s crisis, according to Chaudhry, was intended for political gain. According to him, the chief minister of Punjab will only use his regulatory authority up until July 22.
Hamza Shahbaz
In related news, Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz declared on Monday that the cost of electricity for homes using up to 100 units of electricity per month will be covered by the provincial government.
The Punjab government will cover the utility costs for customers who use up to 100 units of electricity, according to the chief minister, who was speaking to a press conference in Lahore.

The government will give solar panels to those in need so they can switch to alternative sources of electricity, the chief minister added.
IMF
CM Hamza added that Pakistan will receive assistance from friendly nations and that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Programme will continue. He promised that “the economic situation will be back on track.”
The chief minister criticised the PTI and asserted that the country would hold the party’s leaders accountable. “The PTI government destroyed the economy, and Imran Khan must account for foreign funding, Toshakhana, and Farah Gogi’s billions of rupees in corruption,” said a source.
Regarding the by-elections in Punjab scheduled for July 17, CM Hamza predicted that the PML-N would win.
