There is “no question” that Pakistani turf was used in the drone hit that killed al-Qaeda leader Ayman Al-Zawahiri, according to Major General Babar Iftikhar, the director general of Inter-Services Public Relations, who made the statement on Friday.
Ayman Al-Zawahiri is the subject of a clear declaration from the Foreign Ministry. It is improbable that Pakistani soil was utilised for this, he added, adding that unsupported irrelevant claims are made.
The director-general criticised the harmful online advertising that spread following the chopper crash and said: “We have been upset since the catastrophe on August 1.
